Wonderful Botswana / Okavango
A truly wonderful place for wildlife, abundant photo opportunities for elephants, giraffe, hippos, leopards, lions and vast amounts of birds. We travelled from Namibia into Botswana, stayed in Linyanti for three nights then down into the Okavango for another three nights. Magnificent trips on the water via mokoros led us close to hippos, bathing elephants and several types of birds including bee-eaters, storks and kingfishers. Great guides from the camps helped, lovely sundown drives meant we saw bat eared foxes and more leopards.
We did self-drive for two weeks - the roads are a 'challenge' through Chobe and Linyanti, basically deep sand. With hindsight we would've taken some off-road lessons before we went, we had to be rescued once by a passing Botswanan Army truck! If you don't fancy long drives, book with flights betwen camps. The road into Khwai where we stayed was more gravel.

Great opportunity to see BBC:s nature documentaries live!
- Wildlife and scenery were absolutely great, we got to see much more than we thought we would.
- Accommodations we very good. We spend some nights in tent and some in rondawells. Accommodation had everything we needed to have a good night sleep and to shower and wash clothes etc.
- Our guide Mr. Chris was fantastic! He was very professional and knew all about the animals and nature. He also told us many stories about the traditions in Africa. Our cook and "fixman" Mr. Lungi was also fantastic! I don't know how he did it but he managed to do dozens of things at the same time and we didn“'t need to worry about anything. Thank you Mr Chris and Mr Lungi!!
- The highlights that we saw are many; elephants, buffalo's, lions, rhinos, hyenas and even one snake! And of course the African nature itself, the colors, sounds and the darkness of the evening!

Best and affodable than the one we used before. Extremely exceeded our expectations.
Hi everyone.
My wife and I, had a great time of 8/9 days trip with IT STARTED IN AFRICA to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro and it was a great experience to speak the truth! Chicho was an excellent and expenrienced guide loaded with a lots of knowledge of the wildlife and understood the total culture of the region. He continuously explained us everything we wanted to know about the region and the wildlife. He also knew where to find animals all the time he was asked. As a person he was a really great travel companion in a trip like that. We saw the Big 5 and a lot of other amazing animals and very diverse landscapes (from desert raods to highland forests). The accomodation on the trip was excellent, especially the Acacia Tented Camp in Serengeti where we slept in the national park itself, had a luxorious tent, great food and very friendly staffs. The whole communication bit and the trip organization was fabulous (many thanks to Bernard, honestly you are a great asset to many of explorers!). The boss Baraja was very nice, friendly and helpful and he picked us up personally from the airport. The safari car was new and comfy, clean all the time , (VALUE FOR MONEY).
We highly recommend It started in africa to all travellers and certainly we gonna be in touch again for the coming January, but this time around we will be four of us as my sister in law and the husband will be joining us.

I was driven from Lilongwe to South Luangwa Game Park by Johnnie Kabwilo of Misuku Expeditions
I had already booked a safari and needed transport to and from the game park in South Luangwa, Zambia, from Lilongwe. The game lodge recommended Misuku Expeditions. I booked the travel by email travel from the UK. My plans changed slightly but this was no problem - I had immediate replies to my emails and my changes were accommodated in a very friendly helpful way. Punctuality was excellent. The drive was in an almost new, comfortable saloon car and the driving felt reassuringly safe. Johnnie is very knowledgeable and was an interesting companion on the journey and answered all my questions about Malawi, game parks etc. He also made the border crossing easy for me, explaining the procedures at the Malawi and Zambia border posts. My trip exceeded expectations and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing to arrange long distance transport between Malawi and Zambia. The cost was very reasonable. If I hadn't already booked the game lodge I would have been happy to let Misuku Expeditions arrange it for me.

delivers excellent value for safari trips
Ancient routes know very well how to organise safaris. They look at your budget and can then decide which package fits you best. Charles is a very friendly person and a good tour guide. We had the chance to do the safari with a nice jeep and a very experienced tour guide who helped us spotting alm the best animals of the parcs.
The overnight sleeping in the terrirtory of the lions was also a very nice experience. Serengeti and Gorongora are two amazing parcs to visit. Ancient tours is a good organisation.

The best safari company to feel at home, a wild one.
We loved our tour with Wild Planet. They made us feel really confortable, even in a wild place. They were really aware what they were doing and we felt secure in their hands. The handmade cook was SUPERB. <3

All was excellent
Communication was very fast. Our manager Simon gave us a different variant for our choice. We had different variants for accommodation and prices. Simon did a good offer for our budget. Our guide Obama is realy professional guide. We saw a lot of great places and saw all big 5 for 2 days.

Great African Safari Experience
The staff is great. Always looking to make the extra mile to make the staying awesome.
We made a five day safari. Sammy, the guide, is super kind and has a lot of knowlege about the flora and fauna of Tanzania. The food was great and fulfilling.
The Massai experience is highly recommendable. It was very far from the touristic kind. We had the real stuff.
I would deffinitly choose you again guys!
Please stay awesome!

Rude and dismissive guide
It pains me to write a bad review! I took the trip from Dar Es Salaam all the way down to Cape Town, with two different sets of staff: tour guide, cook and bus driver. I can't say enough good things about the second part of the trip, from Victoria Falls to Cape Town. The campsites were beautiful, the food was AMAZING and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. However, the first few weeks of the trip were quite painful, due to our terrible tour guide. He was rude, talked back to customers, wouldn't tell us how long the bus trip would be, and openly mocked customers. My bag got stolen at one campsite (no one's fault at all!) and I couldn't find our tour guide to tell him, he was at the pub having a drink. When I did tell him, he simply kept saying that it 'was not possible' and refused to help in any way at all. I had to contact the reception team at ATC to get a letter (they were quick, sympathetic and professional.)
Overall, my experience was good regarding the campsites, food, locations, and administrative staff. However our guide was so terrible for the first three weeks that it is impossible for me to give ATC more than two stars. :( If you are considering booking a tour, ensure that your tour guide is NOT Frances. I'm sure the rest of the guides are great, and this is just one bad apple. Ensure that Frances is not your guide before leaving.

They make it happen!
We had a safari holiday which was beyond amazing thanks to the help of Megan Warrington.
She carefully curated the itinerary taking into account the dates that we had to travel and the arrangement of my husband joining us later.
Her recommendation were properly chosen in terms of the budget, comfort and services.
She saw to it that we went to Kapama Private Reserve - home to the Big 5.
Megan responded to all our queries including the recommended wear and gear!
She followed up very closely to ensure that all are in place. She even sought feedback after.
We will definitely use this service again!
