The Serengeti is a large park and must not be missed. During the Wildebeest/Zebra migration of February and March, 2 million Wildebeest and Zebra are present. Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Jackal are the main predators. The area boasts a wide variety of mammal and Bird species. A stay of five days in different areas is minimal. I rate this park Excellent for wildlife photography.

The abundance of wildlife amazing. Numerous antelope species are easily observed. Four of the Big Five can be observed including Lion, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo. It should be a must destination when within Tanzania and most species can be seen easily in 2 days. I rate this park Excellent for wildlife photography.

I never saw so many elephants and hippos outside the water like there - even at 12.00 a.m.
But I saw many other animals too - much more than on my safari trips in South Africa and Namibia.

I was impressed by stunning nature far away from the civilisation.

My accommondation was a tent, that was build on a high platform. On that platform was a toilet and a shower with no roof. The valuables were stored in a box that was locked.
The excursions were very exciting, because we used a traditonal boat made of wood to reach our destination. I never walked by foot in an area, where animals like elephants, lions and leopards are living.
In the night, elephants and hippos walked through our camp. Summarized the three days were very exciting.

Everything was perfect here! The landscape is stunning, and the wildlife even more amazing. Accomodations and meals are also great. I was camping, and had the entire campground to myself. Just me and the wonderful wildlife. I absolutely loved it here, and hope to return soon! Well worth the journey just to stay at Waterberg.

Nicest roads I have ever driven at 5.000 ft. height through green gras lands. A lot of wildlife: monkeys, wild zebras, dears, ...
