A Truly Unforgettable Safari Experience with Hyrax Safaris
My wife and I went on a private 5-day safari in Kenya with Hyrax Safaris in June 2025, and it was nothing short of spectacular.
From the outset, communication with Rose was seamless and prompt. Her professionalism and the competitive pricing were key reasons I chose Hyrax over the hundreds of other companies out there — and I'm so glad I did.
Our guide and driver, Ben, was simply outstanding. His tracking skills were top-notch — on several occasions, we were the only vehicle at sightings of elephants, cheetahs, and lions. We were often just a few feet away from these majestic animals — I’ll be sharing photos to show just how close we got. Thanks to Ben, we saw the Big Five and countless other species. It was a wildlife experience beyond anything we imagined.
The accommodations were excellent, with a special mention for Nakuru Sopa Lodge — and Lake Nakuru itself was a hidden gem. We honestly wished we had more time there. Our time in the Masai Mara was unforgettable, especially the hot air balloon ride — truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Although our time in Amboseli was short, it was still incredibly rewarding with numerous elephant sightings and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
I wholeheartedly recommend Hyrax Safaris — their service quality, well-curated hotel selections (even the mid-range options were fantastic), and of course, our phenomenal guide Ben.
Having traveled to over 35 countries, I can confidently say this trip ranks among the very best. It will remain etched in our memories forever.

WILD WONDERS WITH SAFARI360
This 4-day safari with Safari360 was simply amazing. On the first day we saw huge baobab trees and herds of elephants in Tarangire. On the second day we had an amazing game drive in the Serengeti and saw a cheetah chasing antelope in the distance! The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Spending the night in the tent camp was a different experience - the sounds of the wildlife that we heard at night still ring in our ears.

Highlight of our trip
This company is amazing! I interacted with Aron and I think he might be the kindest man I’ve ever met. Aron took us Gorilla Trekking which was the highlight of our trip. Don’t leave Uganda without gorilla trekking!! It was an incredible experience. I was a foot away from a baby gorilla at one point and could have watched the animals for hours! Aron also gave us some great recommendations of places to visit. We also went on a safari in Queen Elizabeth National park and saw every animal in The Lion King and then some. Tip: go super early in the morning or late at night to see the lion, that’s when they’re out hunting. Seeing African elephants was such a peaceful experience. You can tell he really loves his country and wants to share it with the world. He is so knowledgeable about the area and knows the best spots to stop for pictures as well. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other places. He works with you to build an itinerary that’s right for your budget and timeframe. This tour group went out of their way to make sure my husband and I were comfortable through the whole journey and I really can’t praise them enough!!

Clare planned the most amazing safari and beach getaway for our family and friends after our wedding. She handled our group of 12 with so much grace, even with all our different needs and preferences! The places she booked for us were just perfect. Ilkeliani was definitely the highlight with great food, an amazing vibe, and the staff were honestly the best. We felt so well taken care of, and the intimate, boutique feel of the resort made it feel extra special. We can't stop talking about it!

Amazing experience
We had our safari at the beginning of June of this year.Safari game drives are a game of chance,you never know what animals will you see and you depend on the nature and drivers tipping each other. And let me tell you about our one,he was amazing.Jessie has some outstanding driving skills, we always felt safe in the car with him behind the wheel on the harsh terrain of Africa.He answered all our questions with patience and kindness, he knows so much about the animals and birds and he is a great spotter.My favourite part was when we were in Serengheti and he got a tipp about cheetas and we were very far away from them and he started a race for us to get a chance to see them.Absolutly amazing race and successfully finished with us seeing the cheetas. We had Miriam as our chef and the food was absolutely delicious every time.We were peaking at other companies that were offering lunch boxes and we were so grateful that we were having warm and fresh cooked meals every time.Best decision and best chef ever.If you decide to book with this company you can specifically ask for Miriam and Jessie,you won't regret it.We met as strangers and departed as friends after 5 days spent together.Best thing is we were lucky enough to spot all big five in only four days and we know that doesn't happen often. Accommodations offered by the company were from different ranges exactly how we asked and they didn't disappoint. Looking at the overall experience it was the best bet we ever made,it surpassed our expectations and we gladly recommend to book with Mountain Warriors

We had 5-star safari experience with whistling travel and strongly recommend our guide Calvin, who is considerate and professional.
1. Calvin is really a specialist all kinds of animals. He is able to tell the name of small birds from meters away, explain habits of every animal we saw, predict animals‘ behaviors accurately, and find the most suitable position for us to take photos.
2. During our 7-day safari, we started early at 630 in the morning to see more animals, and Calvin was always right there waiting for us once we finished our breakfast. He cleaned the jeep everyday and prepared snacks and drinks to ensure our comfortable experience.
3. We also want to thank Alex and Xiaoxiao to help prepare for our travel as we had an urgent plan change from September to May. They dealed with the change in a high professional way and got everything ready in just a few days.
We really appreciate for Whistling Travel’s work and will definitely choose them again when we are back next time.

Absolutely brilliant, couldn’t fault anything.
Avitus who I communicated with from the start was superb. Constant communication, very quick responses, extremely helpful not only with the safari but all aspects of our holiday I got advice and recommendations from him. He wants to make sure you get exactly what you want right to the end of your safari. Transfers, flights, accommodation were all perfect. I couldn’t ask for anything more. And all within our budget. We had a 2 day private tour visiting the Tarangire national park and the Ngorongoro crater, we stayed at the Marera valley lodge which was stunning. The safari itself was amazing we saw so many animals and our driver made sure we saw as much as possible. The drivers are all in contact with each other and if the animal is out there you will get to see it. I can’t thank Avitus and our driver from uncensored safaris for making our trip incredible . ❤️

The accommodation was absolutely stunning, and every staff member we met was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay special.
