Amazing visit to Volcano National Park, canoeing and Akagera

Emile could not have done more for me. I went to see the gorillas on the Rwandan side and to Akagera National Park. Emile also arranged a canoeing trip on the way to Volcanoes National Park.
He paid a lot of attention to my requests to customise the trip.
He is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about both Akagera ( where he worked previously as a guide) and the Volcanoes National park. He also interned there.
In Akagera, Emile does the guiding himself . He knows a lot of other guides and is able to leverage these relationships to ensure you see animals. The lodge he suggested within the package was Ruzizi - it was incredible I highly recommend it.
I am really interested in birds and Emile made sure that I got opportunities to see them. He knows his birds!
As a solo female traveller , Emile was punctual, polite, very well organised and very easy to spend time with( he has a lovely warm personality). Go with Lion Safari’s you cant do better!

Spectacular
We went on the safari recommended by a friend, and the experience was amazing. Animals were 3 meters away. Our Spanish-speaking guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the animals. The driver was also very professional, willing to stop at every opportunity so we could see the animals as close as possible. Overall, everything was perfect.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Meru slopes. The response time was exceptional from Jerome our fixer and he made everything so straightforward with good communication before and throughout the safari. Our guide and chef Juma and Gadi were also exceptional. There was more than enough food and the quality was excellent. Juma was a knowledgeable guide and very competent driver who we always felt very safe in the vehicle with. The actual safari was planned and delivered exceptionally with so much flexibility and opportunity to focus on seeing the animals and wildlife we wanted to see. Would recommend Meru slopes extremely highly. Value for money is also outstanding

Exceptional Safari and Beach Combo Experience!!
I booked a 10-day safari and Zanzibar package with 7 Wonders Safaris, and it was fantastic in a word! From the moment we arrived at the airport, everything was very well organized. Our guide Emmanuel was extremely knowledgeable, and every game drive was full of excitement - seeing lions, elephants, cheetahs, and even rhinos. After the safari, we rested on the beach in Zanzibar for 3 days. The beach was like a dream! 7 Wonders Safaris is the perfect choice for those who want a mix of wildlife and beach travel.

Exceptional, with all aspects of the safari exceeding high expectations
Such a wonderful safari, I really recommend it. It has been a pleasure from start to finish. Jerome was extremely flexible and accommodating with booking, from dates and dietary requirements to answering the smallest queries I had immediately, and the safari itself was wonderful. Our guide Juma was excellent, attentive to our priorities of what we wanted to see, going above and beyond to deliver, whilst remaining chilled and cheerful company. The chef was also excellent, with consistently delicious and varied meals. The campsites we stayed at had everything you could need, along with the jeep itself. I have been fortunate enough to go on some very good safaris previously, and my hopes for this were absolutely exceeded. Thank you Meru Slopes!

Great Safari Experience
We had a great experience and our tour guide Hans was very kind and experienced. He showed us really good spots for animal sightings - at the end of the Safari we saw all of the animals there are in the region.
Also, all the accommodations were very nice and clean!

Brilliant, accommodating and knowlegeable
Olly, the owner/operator, was very accommodating while we were planning the trip, nothing was too much trouble - all the while keeping value for money front and centre. Brian, our tour leader, and his team, made the safari a seamless experience for all of us. The key, we think, was Brian’s knowledge of the area and relationships with other guides who all co-operated on sightings so we saw amazing outcomes - a lion pride resting near a kill with 3 males, 5 females and 4 sub-adult cubs, a leopard close enough to touch using our vehicle as cover, more buffalo, elephant and hippo than we could count. A true trip of a lifetime and we would go back tomorrow.

Memorable family vacation on a shoestring
Jackson and his team arranged a once in a lifetime safari experience for our family group of seven. Jackson was incredibly responsive when we arranged the trip and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. He took time to understand our needs and took care to work within our budget. It was great to meet him in person on arrival. Action, our personal cook, spoilt us throughout the trip and his breakfast pancakes will be missed by all when we are home. Our guide, Ali, is very knowledgeable and made sure that we had great sightings in all four the parks that we visited. He has a great sense of humor and the adults as well as the teenagers enjoyed his company and Swahili lessons. Nothing was too much trouble for the Topy team and I wish them all the best for the future.

We had the most incredible two-day safari experience in Tanzania with Akondo Adventure. From start to finish, everything was absolutely flawless. The staff was kind, professional, and incredibly well-organized, and our guide was outstanding—knowledgeable, efficient, and always ready to help with a smile. The itinerary was carefully planned down to the smallest detail. All schedules were respected, and we traveled in complete comfort throughout. We visited the breathtaking Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, both of which left us speechless. Akondo also took care of all our transfers, both at the beginning and end of the trip, which made everything smooth and stress-free. What truly stood out was how the team went above and beyond when we had a personal issue with an external booking. Even though it wasn’t their responsibility, they stepped in immediately and helped us resolve everything without hesitation. Their genuine care and support made all the difference. To top it all off, the lodge where we stayed was absolutely charming—peaceful, beautifully set, and the perfect place to relax after a day in the wild. This was truly a dream experience, and we are so grateful to Akondo Adventure for making it so special. Highly recommended!
