The best experience of a lifetime with Aglow Safaris!!
5/5

We had a great time with Aglow Safari on this 4-day mid-range safari. They were excellent from the start. We were warmly welcomed at the airport, and everything was well organized throughout the trip.

In Tarangire, amidst the stunning nature of the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, we saw numerous wildlife. I was especially fascinated by the monkeys in the dense forest, the herd of big elephants in the open savanna, and the lions sitting under the trees. Entering the Ngorongoro Crater, we stepped into a new world, where we could see a lot of deer and a lot of baby water elephants.

Every day was a new surprise. Our guide was a great professional and always made sure we had the best experience. Aglow Safari has delivered a safari that is truly reliable and worth remembering.

Responsive and helpful
5/5

My partner and I did a 4 day safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and had a great time. Our tour guide Peter Kapino was great, he answered all our questions and was very friendly. He tried to accommodate all the passengers in the group, which is not easy when people want to see different things. I must also say that his driving skills were impressive!

We saw 4 out of the big 5 (the leopard was being elusive!) but did see a cheetah and many other animals instead. As a whole, we were v satisfied with the number of animals we saw.

One constructive feedback to Axis Safari is to update the prices of the optional activities in the itinerary, and to note that soft drinks are not included in the lunches and some hotels. It will just help when planning how much cash to bring on the safari.

Overall, thank you Axis Safari and Peter for the memories.

Very good experience and completely consistent company
5/5

A very good experience. Booking something online is always a challenge, but we haven't had any problems. They helped us book the Madakara Express tickets, they respond very quickly, and the trip and accommodations were exactly as we were told. Our driver, Joshua, was attentive to us the entire time. Highly recommended. As for optional excursions, it's advisable not to take the visit to the Masai Mara village. It's a rip-off: $20 for the excursion. When you check into the house, they sort of force you to buy a pendant for another $20, and then they force you into a market to buy things. That's why it's advisable to skip it. The rest is great.

Safari that dreams are made of!
5/5

10/10 experience with Wild for Game Safaris. Our family of four had an amazing time with Lucas and his team. The safari itinerary was a perfect mix of parks/concessions including Moremi, Kwai and Savuti over 8 days. We saw more wildlife than we could have hoped for, in no small part thanks to Lucas’ wealth of experience as a guide. He made every game drive an adventure and his depth of knowledge of Bostwana’s parks and animals is second to none. It was such a pleasure to experience this beautiful country with a local guide who has such deep respect and passion for the land and wildlife. We saw every animal on our list- and then some - including two male lions patrolling at sunrise, a den of hyenas with their young, wild dogs on a hunt and a leopard with her kill. We even saw a honey badger!
The camping was luxury- hot showers on demand, amazing food and wine (we still don’t know how the chef baked perfect cakes at camp!!) comfortable bedding in roomy tents and extra little touches like hot water bottles waiting in our beds for the chilly winter nights.
Wild for Game is truly a master class in mobile camping safaris. We are already planning our next trip with them and would not hesitate to recommend them for your ultimate Botswana safari. Thank you Lucas!!!

The overall experience was fifty-fifty
1/5

Overall Rating: The overall travel experience was acceptable, but near the end of the trip, we realized there were communication misdirections and cost traps that led to many unnecessary expenses.
We trusted our guide completely, but compared to other guides, he really did let us down a bit

Main Issues:
1️⃣ Guide Replacement Without Prior Notice
* Our contracted guide, Wilson, was unexpectedly replaced with Alvin (no advance notice). While Alvin performed reasonably well later, this uncommunicated change felt disrespectful.

2️⃣ Excessive Cost Traps
* We were encouraged to join a "nature walk" (not disclosed as a paid activity upfront), which was of little value. Upon finishing the brief 20-minute walk, they demanded $30/person. After negotiation, we only paid $30 for the entire group.
* During the Masai Mara Safari, an on-site ranger was arranged to accompany us to see hippos and crocodiles, after which we were charged $10/person. Conversations with other tourists later confirmed this activity is typically free.
* Nakuru Crescent Island Hike: Besides the $20/person boat fee, we were charged an additional $20/person "island hiking fee". We later verified through social media and other travelers that the specific area we hiked in is free. Furthermore, we were rushed throughout the short (under 20 min) hike and not taken to the island center. The actual standard island hike costs $33, lasts over 40 minutes, and includes photo opportunities with animals in the center. (We were not informed of this option nor given a choice).

3️⃣ Poor Safari Timing Caused Itinerary Reduction
* Amboseli park tickets are valid for 24 hours. Due to the guide's incorrect scheduling of the Safari time (done without consultation), our contractually agreed-upon final day Morning Safari was canceled. They knew how to schedule correctly to allow us an extra Safari, but we were neither consulted nor given options. Our complaint to the office received no reasonable response.

4️⃣ Unprofessional Guide Conduct
* On the last day, we paid $180 to extend the jeep hire. We confirmed an itinerary (Giraffe Centre -> Market -> Restaurant - guide specified). We indicated we'd decide on the restaurant that day. Midway through the planned activities, we requested to change restaurants, offering 2-3 options within the distance range the guide himself had suggested, but he refused them all. While searching for a new restaurant (which took less than 15 minutes), the guide decided we were taking too long. Without any discussion, he abruptly drove us directly to the airport. We arrived around 3 PM without having lunch/dinner and had to wait 4 hours before we could even enter the terminal for security and food.

Highlights:
✅ Guide Alvin was proactive in tracking animals: He ensured close-up sightings of most animals (we saw nearly everything except a leopard).
✅ During Safaris, the guide actively shared knowledge about animals and nature, enriching the overall experience.
✅ Alvin was exceptionally personable — assisting with luggage daily and even buying us Fruits. We tipped him generously with daily gifts,
✅ developing a friendly rapport that made the later conflict particularly disheartening, In Nakuru, they upgraded us to single rooms (one each), and in Amboseli, they moved us to a better camp

Conclusion: While the wildlife viewing experience met expectations, issues with chaotic management, opaque pricing, and guide negligence were significant. We advise exercising caution when choosing this operator.

Great experience
5/5

Anna and Juliana were excellent hosts. The safari was exactly what we expected, and we saw more animals than anticipated. Our guide, Joseph, provided clear explanations of the Serengeti and Ngororgo. The Tourist Inn hotel has spacious rooms. Anna and Juliana's dedication was outstanding. We had a payment issue, but we were able to pay part of the amount after the safari. A driver was also available to take us to several locations. Porcupine is definitely recommended!

Amazing experience, with the best support and organization
5/5

Among different companies, we got the best deal with them.
We are very happy with the service, although it is necessary to make all details clear to avoid problems. We are very happy with the driver, the service and the information provided.
