Efficient and great communication
5/5

I did a one day trip to Uganda from Kigali and it was amazing. It’s a long day, leaving at 2am, but absolutely worth it. A special shout-out to by guide, Justice, for helping me deal with a visa issue at the boarder when returning to Rwanda.

Gosheni's arrangements were impeccable.

Zadock was an exceptional guide during our safari in Tanzania—his knowledge of the local wildlife and landscapes was truly impressive. He had an uncanny ability to spot even the most elusive animals, from leopards hiding in the acacia trees to rare birds soaring above the savanna, and he shared fascinating insights about their behaviors and habitats with passion. We’d recommend him to anyone seeking an authentic, memorable Tanzanian adventure.

Unforgettable safari
5/5

It was an incredible experience with Amour and Rastaman (Lewis) as guides, and Chef Johnson.
Everything was well organized, from the initial briefing to the final meeting.
The food was excellent. The explanation of what we were seeing was very detailed, especially from Rastaman.
I definitely recommend Suricata to anyone planning a safari.

Amazing Safari experience
5/5

Our safari with Shafino Wildlife Safaris was an unforgettable experience. From the route to the accommodations, everything was perfectly organized, but what truly made it special was Shafino himself:

Shafino is not only a fantastic guide, but also a former mechanic, an excellent driver, and a walking wildlife encyclopedia. He didn’t just know everything about the big animals, he could even identify every bird we saw by name, often before we had even spotted them ourselves. He also shared fascinating insights.
In a very challenging situation he gave us the perfect view of the Mara River crossing, something we will never forget :)

This was our first safari and there was not a single question he couldn‘t answer.

What really stood out was how much effort he put into making the most of every moment. He was constantly in contact with other guides to stay informed and position us for the best sightings. We always felt safe, well cared for, and in the best hands even when the terrain got rough.

At one point, he even helped another driver repair their vehicle, his mechanical background is clearly a huge asset.

The lodges and camps he arranged for us were also excellent: beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located for each day’s adventure.

We’re deeply thankful for this once-in-a-lifetime trip and can wholeheartedly recommend Shafino Wildlife Safaris.

Asante sana Shafino!

Really enjoyed visiting Tarangire and NgoroNgoro. The sights were beautiful and the guide was very prepared and available at all times. Even the food servings were good. The overnight stay at the campsite was also quite enjoyable, as the dinner was accompanied by traditional dancing and live music.
Highly recommended!

Full on, fun and exciting experience
5/5

Very well organised - we were picked up from our hotel on time. Trf from Jo'berg to Tremisana does take most of the day, but you stop for lunch in a lovely little town, at a great restaurant. As soon as we arrived at the lodge, we were straight out on a sunset game drive, and then on to the bush bbq - make sure you wrap up warm for the drive (I'd recommend a hat, scarf and gloves if you can stand to take things like that on holiday!)

The next day was an early start for the sunrise drive, but then we had some chill out time during the day, which was much needed by that stage. Sunset drive was great, with a some drinks and nibbles, and a lovely lookout point to watch the sub go down.

The next two days were less hectic - sensible get up time for the approx 1 hour drive to Kruger, with full day drives on both days. The rest stop and restaurant is great - lots of choice on the menu.

Our final day was the drive back to Jo'berg, but via the Blyde River Canyon, which is spectacular. A real treat and a good opportunity to get some final souvenirs.

All of the rangers and guide were very friendly and knowledgable. Mama D is a legend - lovely food and they were able to cater for vegetarian and vegan needs in our group (although a couple of times the vegan dessert was a piece of fruit). Be mindful though - dinner is served quite late and then we tended to go straight to bed. That combined with being driven everywhere and I felt my waistline grow every day!

Accommodation at Tremisana is okay - a bit basic and nothing to write home about, but then you don't spend much time in your room anyway. The site itself is lovely, with a communal dining area (the Lapa) that overlooks a small clearing - we had hyenas and honey badgers there most evening and were treated to a full herd of elephants one morning.

Drinks are reasonably priced, as are the food prices in the rest stops in Kruger.

I'd really recommend this safari to anyone. 5 days seemed perfect to get the most from Kruger. We saw a few packs of lions and a couple of rhinos, as well as the usual elephants, giraffes, zebras etc. No leopard unfortunately - maybe next time?!

Amazing 5-Day Safari in Kruger + Panorama Route
5/5

We had an amazing time on our safari. Our guide, Barney, was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and the park and always made sure we had the best experience. He was patient and gave us plenty of time to watch the animals and take pictures. We were lucky to see four of the Big Five (just missing rhinos), and we saw a wide variety of other wildlife too. All of the accommodations were great. At the Sabie River Bush Lodge, we got to see elephants from our tents, and at Satara, we got to go on a sunset drive. Kruger is such an amazing place, and this tour truly highlighted everything Kruger has to offer. Ending the trip with the Panorama Route was beautiful and a perfect way to wrap up the trip.
