An amazing safari adventure with Axis Africa Expeditions & Safaris - one we will never ever forget!!
This amazing adventure started some months ago when a very good friend mentioned going to Kenya with her 2 sons in the summer, and I thought "oh wow what an amazing experience it would be for my son and I" as we'd not yet been on a safari. I asked if we could tag along and here we are after 7 amazing days in Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha (including Cresent Island boat ride & walk) & Amboseli!
My friend had done her research and already had a good idea of the 'must see' places. She contacted several operators but Monica, our safari organiser, adjusted the itinerary to our wishes and was always available to answer all our questions promptly, by email and on WhatsApp. The package also included a reduced price for our boys (12-13 years), tented camps as our accommodation so we'd give the boys especially a more realistic experience, and hotel/airport transfers. Monica even arranged last minute airport transfers to our hotel since we arrived late the night before. Harun and Maurice, our aiport/hotel drivers, who patiently waited for us at the airport/hotel, were reachable on WhatsApp and extremely courteous.
As for the safari experience itself, there are no words to express how amazing it really was and even more amazing was the driver and guide assigned to us. With his orange goatee and smiling eyes, Yasin was the perfect match for our 3 boisterous boys and their 2 no-nonsense mums. He's an extraordinary driver and traffic/rough terrain navigator, he's extremely kind, patient and gentlemanly, and has exceptional abilities to get you to the right spots at the right times during every game drive. Besides the big 5, which we crossed off our list in the 1st 3 days, we also saw an endless number of flora and fauna in their different habitats. Climate varied greatly from quite cool and sometimes wet, to hot, windy and dusty. Yasin is also very knowledgeable about all animals, birds and the surroundings, and answered every single question we had. I honestly thought the boys would be bored on the long game drives and journeys between parks, but they enjoyed every minute of it also thanks to Yasin who is also very capable with kids, always managing to get their attention by asking the right questions to lure them in.
Yasin also ensured smooth check-ins and not missing a single meal while travelling between parks or when out the entire day. And on the last day, since our flight got delayed by some 3 hours he offered to take us for a tour of Kobe Tough beads & leather and also the Giraffe Centre.
Finally, I must mention our experience in the tented camps we stayed at - Wild Nest Mara Camp in Maasai Mara and Manjaro Tented Camp in Amboseli - both of which were much better than the example pictures Monica had shared with us. The staff was always extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was always freshly prepared, and the tented rooms were quite large, and had warm water and comfortable beds.

Amazing wildlife, excellent service and guiding
We did a 4 day, private safari tour with Kenya Bush Expeditions, visiting Tsavo East, Amboseli and Tsavo West. We chose the mid-range accommodation package. The wildlife was amazing, and we got to see pretty much every big animal over the 4 days, as well as seeing the Kenyan countryside and people as we drove between the parks. Our guide, Stephen, was excellent. He was knowledgeable and always able to answer our questions, but also gave us space to just watch and discover things for ourselves, rather than continually talking at us. He was in touch with the other guides and vehicles to be able to find the big animals, of which we got to see lots. The lodges in Tsavo East and Tsavo West were on the older side, but that was easily made up for with the fantastic wildlife viewing from each lodge. The Amboseli Lodge was nicer and more modern, but outside the park and didn't have wildlife viewing opportunities. This trip was so much more than we'd expected. Thank you!

Fantastic communication, care and dedication towards providing the best experience possible.
Porcupine Expeditions provided phenomenal experience for my safari in the Seregheti. Mama Ana and her daughter were available whenever I needed anything, and provided all sorts of restaurant and tour recommendations while in Arusha. The safari itself was amazing, with guide Anwar putting us in the best position possible everyday. The wildlife encounters were amazing (including seeing the big 5). Overall, I suggest that everyone should book with Porcupine for all their Safari needs.

A Magical Safari Across Kenya's Iconic Parks
Had the most amazing safari in Kenya.
Visited Amboseli, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha & Lake Nakuru, every spot was magical!

A huge part of what made this trip so special was my tour guide, Tonny. His knowledge, passion, and sharp eyes made sure I didn't miss a single moment. He was not only an excellent guide but also a wonderful travel companion, patient, friendly, and full of fascinating stories about both wildlife and local culture.
This safari was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature, wildlife, and adventure.
Kenya truly stole my heart, and I know I'll be back someday.

Absolutely Fabulous
Great Escape Trails are amazing. Right from when we first contacted Thom to find out about their Serengeti safari he was fantastic.
Thom was always quick to reply to any queries we had and when we decided to book with them the process was easy and straight forward.
Once on safari Thom was also great as our driver/guide. His ability to find the animals was amazing and his knowledge of them excellent.
We were lucky enough to see all of the Big 5, even if the rhino's were via binoculars.
Thom knowledge of what we saw was great, no question he could not answer.
Accommodation throughout the tour was great, Rooms clean and comfortable and all with our own bathroom.
Food was great and really enjoyed out packed lunches each day.
It was great just being on safari wiht just our small group of 4 which allowed everyone to have a window seat each day.
Tour was great value for money and would highly recommend Great Escape Trails if you are looking at going to the Serengeti

Excellent service, great communications, fast response, good tour guide.
Our trip in Tanzania went well. I am glad we selected Tales of Tanzania Safari. The initial communcations are very smooth, they respond very quickly with detailed information about activity each day and cost. They provided recipt after I made deposit. During the trip, everything went well as planned. The tour guide Peter was very good. Provided lots of useful information about animals and Serengeti, he is knowledgable. We loved our trip.

Unforgettable experience
We took a 7-day budget safari and it was an amazing experience. Our guide, Jimmy, was really nice, very professional, and funny. He always managed to be at the right place at the right time. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We saw all kinds of animals, the Big Five but also crocodiles, hyppos, several cheetahs and, of course, breathtaking landscapes.

A highly proficient outfit
Having dreamed of going on safari my whole life, my trip to Tanzania lived up to everything I hoped for and more. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro can take a lot of the credit, but Soul of Tanzania also played a big role.
Despite making mistakes in my trip planning, complicated by my travel partner pulling out at the last minute, Manuel was still able to expertly fit everything I wanted to do into the few days wedged between two other bookings I had made beforehand. He did so with short notice and without over-charging! If only I had known I could book all my tours and accommodation with the one company. Having contacted many agencies, I am extremely pleased with my final choice.
Ramadan, my amazing guide, maximised every minute of the few days I had on safari. His zoological knowledge was extensive, and he was able to find all the animals I wanted to see, including the big five (rhinos twice, incl mother and calf). Ramadan was happy to answer my incessant questions about animals and obviously has a genuine love of wildlife. Like Manuel, Ramadan was very patient and calm with my planning mistakes and being such a high-maintenance first-timer.
I can't wait to go again… but next time I will get Soul of Tanzania to organise everything.
