Great communication with Danford and Victor was the most amazing guide
5/5

We want on a safari as a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. Our trip started in Arusha where Danford had booked us into Planet Lodge which was a nice hotel with bungalow like rooms, which fitted us perfect as we could have connecting rooms.

Victor talked us through the safari the night before leaving, which was great as it gave us a view of what to expect. Although a safari is about a lot of unexpected experiences. Danford recommended us to go to Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Ndutu and Central Serengeti and this was great advice. We got very different experiences each day. Victor was also quite fantastic, he saw things other guides didn't which as an example gave us a sighting of a baby leopard just next to our car. His knowledge was a big part of our total experience.

We did have a hickup with one of the tented camps but Danford swiftly helped with this. Other than that all was as described or better. we stayed in Ngorongoro Wild Camp, Safari Haven in Ndutu and Kontiki in Central Serengeti. In our view, the Kontiki was the nicest of these 3, and also where we got animals close to the tent. However, the food was best at Ngorongoro Wild Camp.

If we were to change anything at all, it would be to stay in Moshi the first night and Arusha second, instead of 2 nights in Arusha as we did now. we went on a coffee tour on the hills of Kilimanjaro our second day and it would have meant a few hours less in the car. But this is the only minor thing we would change. The coffee experience was also great, and we recommend taking the time for it.

We definitely recommend booking with Paws and Claws and if possible have Victor as a guide.

Helpful, reliable, trustworthy
5/5

What an incredible safari experience!
Excellent service with the communication before heading out on safari. The tour group answering all my questions promptly and was exceptionally helpful in all of their communications.
The actual safari experience was AMAZING! A big huge thanks goes to our driver: Moses. He did an exceptional job of locating animals and places for us to see. He had a fantastic experience of the Masai Mara Park and knew exactly where to find animals.
Thank you so much Team!

Absolutely Outstanding Safari & Kilimanjaro Adventure with Somewhere In Africa!
5/5

We had the most incredible 3-week journey through Tanzania with Somewhere In Africa, and I can honestly say it was one of the best travel experiences of our lives.
From the very first day, everything was perfectly organised: smooth airport transfers, the reliable jeep with our fantastic driver/guide Amani, and a crew that felt like family by the end. Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, a challenging but successful Kilimanjaro climb via the Machame Route (summited in record time thanks to our amazing guide Suma and his energetic team), and even relaxing days in Arusha – it was all flawlessly executed.
Highlights:
• Knowledgeable, fun, and super caring guides (Amani and Suma were absolute stars!)
• Great food on safari and excellent camp catering during the climb (shoutout to Fundi the cook!)
• Perfect acclimatisation planning on Kili, safe & professional crew, and real attention to our well-being
• Beautiful lodges/camps, well-maintained vehicles, and seamless logistics from start to finish
Everything was communicated clearly, they were flexible when needed, and they truly go the extra mile to make your trip unforgettable. If you’re looking for an authentic, high-quality Tanzanian adventure with people who genuinely care – Somewhere In Africa is the one. Highly, highly recommended!
We’ll be back. ❤️🦁🏔️

Unforgettable Gorilla Trek Adventure with Universe Venture!
5/5

What an incredible experience! My partner and I recently joined Universe Venture for a gorilla trekking adventure in Rwanda's lush volcanoes, and it was hands-down the highlight of our trip. From the moment we met our driver Christian from Universe Venture, everything was seamless and magical.

Our driver was fantastic—not only did he navigate the roads expertly, but also shared tons of engaging stories about Rwanda's rich culture, history, and stunning landscapes along the way. It made the journey feel personal and immersive. The trek itself was thrilling—hiking through misty bamboo forests with expert coordination from the team. Spotting the silverback and his family up close was a once-in-a-lifetime moment; their gentle majesty left us in awe.

Universe Venture handled every detail perfectly: comfortable transport, permits sorted effortlessly, and top-notch safety briefings. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel like family, turning a bucket-list adventure into cherished memories. If you're dreaming of gorilla trekking, book with Universe Venture—you won't regret it!

Highly recommend—thank you to our wonderful driver and the Universe Venture team! 🙏🦍

The safari in Masai Mara was an incredible and unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five thanks to our driver, Rober, who was always attentive and did everything possible to make sure we saw as many animals as possible. His professionalism and dedication truly made a difference. Special thanks to Anna for all the organization and management. Highly recommended.

Marurumi Safari delivered
5/5

Planning our first safari, we were stunned by the large number of providers and all the different tours to choose from. We ended up choosing a tour were the duration, price and bush camp option fitted us - 4-Day Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru/ Masai Mara Mid-Range Migration Tour.
The later mail dialogue gave us a feeling of seriousness.
Our guide and driver, James, was punctual, safety- and very service-minded. He was experienced, knowledgeable and respectful regarding wildlife and all other aspects of Kenya.
He even took us to a coffee plantation in the outskirts of Nairobi on our way back.
Bush camp accomodations, cleaning and food were good and gave us a more authentic feel of a safari.
We were advised to bring warm cloths for the safari. Coming from Norway and being used to cool summers, we thought that was an exaggeration. Fact was that we were glad we brought the warm clothes and raincover. It gets surprisingly cold standing up in an moving open jeep for hours at almost 2000 m altitude.
With our experiences from this safari we have no doubts recommending Marurumi Safari.

Nyakagezi Tours treats you like family, navigating the roads of Kisoro showing us tourist spots
5/5

From my first WhatsApp message, the communication was instant and clear. Nyakagezi Tours took the stress out of everything. Securing our permits, picking me up on time at the Kisoro airstrip and providing a spotless 4x4. Our guide didn't just drive, he shared the history of the the Bafumbira people, showed us the mountains of Kisoro and made sure we felt safe every minute. For the level of reliability and personal care we received, the value for money is unbeatable. If you’re coming to Kisoro for the gorillas, this is the team you want behind you. Thank you Nyakagezi Tours and Travel

Highly recommend
5/5

I highly recommend this agency for several reasons:
- ensured transportation from the airport to the hotel and back to the designated spot,
- experienced guides who know the parks and where to spot animals (great job by Francis, Eric, and Leroy),
- the ability to tailor the safari and additional attractions to your needs,
- excellent communication with Derrick, who responded immediately from the very beginning and remained open to any suggestions (he immediately resolved the problem with the hotel)
Moreover, we saw the Big Five and much more in less than 24 hours. :)
