incredibly friendly, professional, and always in a great mood
I completed a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro with Genes Adventures, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We managed to complete the entire tour in just 48 hours, a feat that would not have been possible without this elite team 💪🏻🏔️⭐️
My guide’s (Emmanuel) physical performance was absolutely outstanding. To maintain that kind of pace while ensuring safety requires a level of professionalism that is hard to find. He powered through the challenge alongside me, demonstrating incredible strength and expertise.
The entire support team was fantastic. Despite the intense physical demands of a 48-hour itinerary, the vibe was always positive and professional.
I am beyond satisfied with the service provided. If you are looking for a team that can handle extreme physical challenges while maintaining a great attitude, look no further than Genes Adventures.
Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!

John was funny, informative, and clearly took a lot of time to make the experience truly memorable.
Our safari with John was an unforgettable experience. He always had a joke ready, which made every moment even more enjoyable. Thanks to him, we were able to see so many amazing animals and learned a lot about wildlife and nature. The accommodations were fantastic—we stayed in tents right inside the national park, surrounded by animals. We also met incredibly kind people along the way. I would love to do it again!

A Dream Come True!
I don't think we could have possibly had a better experience on our Safari. When I started looking into quotes I thought there was no way we could make this happen. There are SO MANY companies and so many itinerary choices. We found Morningstar through s
Safaribookings and I am so happy we did. Everything was easy from start to finish. On the booking end Beryl took care of us, she wasn't pushy (I had one company emailing me every single day asking for a decision and it immediately turned me off) Beryl was patient while I did my research and budgeting. Once we decided to book she set everything up for us, explained all the processes and choices to us and answered all my random questions. Replies were quick and informative.
But once we arrived in Kenya the real magic started. Our guide Rono was absolutely amazing and filled my head with tons of wildlife, history, and culture facts. As far as animals, we saw EVERYTHING! Rono had a special talent for trying to guess where moving animals were ultimately headed and I can't believe we ended up feet from Elephants, lions, cheetah, giraffes, and tons more. I'm a huge bird nerd and he really stepped up his game to find so many species of birds for me to see (something that's a bit outside of most people's Safari wishes) I really couldn't have asked for a better Safari experience!
The lodges that were tailored to our package were all fantastic. Staff everywhere we went were amazing.
I spent my childhood enamored with these animals, my adult life dedicated to wildlife conservation. This trip is something I never thought I would get to experience and I can't believe Morningstar made that happen for us!

A truly unforgettable experience, one I believe everyone should have at least once in a lifetime
We booked this safari fairly last minute and had contacted several companies beforehand, as we were looking for a five-day safari with a shared jeep and mid-range lodges, something that isn’t typically offered as a standard package. While all the companies we spoke to were willing to accommodate our request, Jocky Tours and Safaris offered better lodge options and price. We appreciated their flexibility and would recommend reaching out to them on WhatsApp with any queries. They were proactive and professional throughout.
The experience itself exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Ken, was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone’s interests, whether that was spotting big game or identifying birds. The only animal we didn’t see was a leopard, although we did spot half its prey hanging from a tree! Ken made multiple efforts to track one down. That said, we were far from disappointed given everything else we saw, and it was actually reassuring to know the animals can remain hidden when they want to.
The lodges we stayed in were superb, it was almost a shame to keep moving from one to the next. They were comfortable, with excellent food. One highlight was Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, where we saw hippos (safely on the other side of an electric fence), as well as zebras and giraffes roaming just outside our rooms. I’d strongly recommend checking reviews for each lodge beforehand, we swapped a few options and were very glad we did after speaking with others in our shared jeep. In our experience, the difference between budget and mid-range accommodation is significant, especially given the relatively small price increase.
Although we travelled at the end of March, at the start of the rainy season, it didn’t impact our experience. We were still able to see and do a huge amount. I’m not sure if this is typical, but it certainly worked out well for us.
A few tips that are worth noting:
- There is a 5% bank transaction fee for card payments, charged on Day 1 of the safari (excluding any deposit already paid)
- Be prepared for tipping - withdraw cash in advance
- Expect to spend a lot of time in the jeep (obvious, but the hours add up)
- Plan your hydration carefully—while Ken did make stops, toilet breaks are limited, especially within the reserves (understandably, given the wildlife!)
A truly unforgettable experience, one I believe everyone should have at least once in a lifetime. A city is a city, and a cruise is a cruise. But seeing such precious wildlife in its natural habitat, under its own volition, was extraordinary.

Amazing experience and great hospitality.
They came to pick me and my wife at Karatu on time. The car was in great condition and the driver was so knowledgeable with Ngorongoro crater, he made us feel comfortable. We did a day trip but we managed to cover all the big 5 animals. He made our travel memorable

No complaints, everything was perfect.I really appreciated our guide Victor, very kind and reliable
I really appreciated the service; communication was simple and reliable. The price-quality ratio is good, and I recommend Nextgen Safari for an excursion. The trip was simply wonderful! I really enjoyed and I would like to come back.
