Unforgettable Safari Experience
It's been a month since our safari trip. It was an amazing trip. Beyond my expectations.
The collaboration with African Big Cats started from months before the trip. The operators, including Salim and others, were helpful. Most of our specified lodging requests were fulfilled and we were able to finalize the trip. They communicated efficiently and accurately.
The entire trip was well planned. We went to Tarangire, Serengeti Central, Serengeti North and Ngorongoro. Some highlights are of course the great migration, the wildebeests crossing in Serengeti, the great view in the Ngorongoro crater, seeing cheetah in the night safari in Tarangire.
Our guide Khalid is professional. He knows all the animals. We were able to get to know a lot of species in the trip. He helped us mark in our book so we always know what we saw in the trip. We also enjoyed listening to stories about the national parks, Masaai/Meru/Arusha tribes, the culture and thelife in Tanzania. The guide has been very friendly and our time together was great.
Our mom's big hope in the trip was to see the crossing. But we were unlucky on the first full day in the north Serengeti. By the end of the day we were unsure about if we still had any chance to see it because we needed to go back to the central Serengeti on the next day. Our guide suggested to wait for the crossing as much as we could on the next day. Because of his suggestion we were able to see the crossing. We saw a huge herd crossed and crocodiles preying wildebeests. It was awesome!
On the first day the manager Emanuel gave us a detailed briefing in Arusha. That's a good experience to start the trip.
For the lodgings, the first day's lodging in Mtoni River Lodge Arusha is a bit small for 3 persons in a room. Other than that its good.
If I have the privilege to get to safari tour in Tanzania again, I would be going with African Big Cats and Khalid again.

So impressive - have never had a more positive experience with a tour company or trip planner
I cannot speak highly enough about Ubuntu! I emailed enquiries to a number of operators and Paul rang me the next day. After 45 minutes on the phone ascertaining what I roughly was looking for and sharing his extensive personal experience of Southern Africa, he had a detailed proposal to me within 48 hours that despite a couple of minor tweaks was exactly what we were hoping for. Paul designed an itinerary that was varied, individualised and thoughtful.
It was the trip of a lifetime! Despite a good number of transfers, internal small flights and other arrangements it went without a hitch. All the tour operators and companies we dealt with were friendly, reliable and efficient leading to a stress free, fantastic experience. Our lodges and safari stays were all so different giving a broad range of environs, wildlife and surrounds. The standard of everything was first rate.
Throughout the entire process Paul was in communication with updates, always available for even the most silly of questions and so helpful. Ubuntu also have staff and contacts in Africa should you need help (we did not) which added a further layer of security and reassurance.
If there was a 6 star rating I would give it.

An Incredible 14 Day Safari Through Kenya and Tanzania
We did a 14 day 13 night private circuit safari through Kenya and Tanzania with Twinkle Star Tours, visiting Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Amboseli National Park.
The trip started with a small hiccup when our luggage was not loaded on the plane at the origin, so it arrived the next morning. Fortunately, James from Twinkle Star Tours handled it quickly, retrieving our bags and delivering them to our accommodation in Karen before we set out for Lake Nakuru.
Over the course of the itinerary, we saw the Big Five, an uncountable number of wildebeests, enjoyed both a walking and boat safari at Lake Naivasha, visited a Masai village, took a balloon safari over the Masai Mara, explored the expansive Serengeti, discovered the surprising ecosystem within the Ngorongoro Crater, and had beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The accommodations were very well chosen, with a mix of lodges and tented camps throughout the trip. Each offered comfort, character, and great hospitality that matched the setting perfectly.
Because our route went from Kenya to Tanzania and back to Kenya, we had three guides in total, and each was excellent, skilled at driving, and dedicated to helping us see as many animals as possible.
Overall, it was an incredible and well organized safari experience, and we would highly recommend Twinkle Star Tours for anyone planning a safari in Africa.

One in a life experience!
WOW – what an amazing experience!
I would definitely recommend booking with Richard. Everything was so well organized from start to finish, and they did their best to accommodate every request along the way.
They even surprised us with a birthday cake, which was such a lovely touch! Our guide, Stanley, was wonderful – very kind and truly professional.
The safari itself was unforgettable, with stunning nature and incredible wildlife sightings. Thank you so much for everything!

The most friendly staff, good house, great safari in a beatyful park.
Staff is very friendly, lodge is in the middle of the nature, with monkeys, baboons ans elephants near the house.
We made 3 gamedrives, 1 by night and we saw a lot of animal. Franklin was our driver and gide and made it fantasie.
The end of our trip was a diner and the staff made it a romantic moment.
A stay at Mapuziko lodge is a moment in live we will always remember, thanks!!

excellent safari experience
We were able to organize this from Australia with minimal fuss. David was quick to respond and was able to accomodate our preferences. Our Guide Ookedisae did an excellent job of tracking the game and we saw a great variety of animals each day. Highlights were seeing a wild dog hunt, a leopard and her cub plus lots and lots of lions. The hippos come very close to camp at night and we even had honey badgers visit!! The mokoro ride was magical and our polers were very entertaining. We were also very spoilt by having Oonah as our cook and Bats-man as his offsider. The food was delicious and I was astounded by what these guys could prepare, including fresh bread daily. We had such a wonderful time and felt very blessed to have such a magic team looking after us. Our tent was spacious and ensuited (!) and the beds were comfy. All in all, a brilliant experience. We would highly recommend this.
