Helpful, knowlegable, and a nice guy!
We had a great experience with Compass Odyssey on our Father-Daughter trip in June 2026. The most important thing to convey about the trip is that everthing Compass Odyssey committed to us happened exactly as they said it would. Every pick-up, every transfer, every accomodation, every flight, and every experience was flawless. Not a single bit of unwanted drama in the whole trip.
We were especially appreciative of the pre-planning help Compass Odyssey provided as we had some non-standard requirements that made our itenerary a bit complicated. However, they listened to our requests and responded with options that made the whole process easier than we had a right to expect.
Highly recommend Compass Odyssey for any African Adventure.

Excellent experience connecting with a tour provider
I used Safari Bookings to get quotes from 3 safari providers. I received responses from 3 and by far the most timely and complete responses came from Professional Safari's. I selected them and they were very easy to work with through the entire process. The safari was excellent although noted that while we were suposed to have refreshments in a refrigerator on board, we did not. We didn't mind buying them for ourselves but had to do that at stops. We got to see everything but a leopard and our safari guide Jon, while a little on the quiet side was excellent when it came to explaining local details, and details about the animals. He knew the parks like the back of his hand, and seemed to know many of the other guides which was helpful when they found something before we did. We went with mid range accomodations and were happy all the way around with them. Very affordable as well compared to others we saw.

A Perfect Adventure true Kenyas Nature
Our safari in Kenya was an unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip! We spent one day at Lake Nakuru and two days in the Masai Mara, and everything exceeded our expectations.
We were incredibly lucky to see all of the Big Five, which was an amazing experience. A huge thank you to our guide, who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible safari. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked so hard to help us spot as many animals as possible. Thanks to him, every game drive was exciting and memorable.
The accommodations were excellent, with comfortable rooms, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. After long days exploring the parks, it was the perfect place to relax.
Everything was very well organized, and we felt taken care of throughout the entire trip. We would absolutely do this safari again and would happily spend the money again because it was worth every single cent.
We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kenya. Thank you for making our safari so special!

Everything you could want
I can 100% recommend this tour company and our tour guide Abou who was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly person.Everything from minute we arrived to Kigali and until we were dropped off back to airport was super organised.Big plus was flexibility and willingness to show us the best Rwanda can offer as few days before our arrival - our flight from London got cancelled so we had different arrival date and had to spend one extra day in Rwanda.Without any worry we were able to reorganise our itinerary based on our wants.You could feel that the company tries its best to make sure you are satisfied with everything.As for the accommodations,itinery and overall experience in Rwanda - everything was perfect,we saw exactly what we wanted and more,literally nothing to complain about.Once again it wouldn’t be possible without Abou,if you are reading it - thank you,I really enjoyed our talks while we were driving all over the country and meeting local people.

A great tour with a great guide
The tour is far beyond our expectations. We, four people from China, supposed to have some surprising moments in a few days but we have got great views each days. Thanks to our guide, goodluck, who is humorous, experienced, and patient, we came across all the big fives and exciting scenery. He is also a great driver and we will introduce him to our friends.

Absolutely Fantastic
Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic. The whole experience of the safari was extraordinary. We saw lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants and so many more. This was largely due to John Mwangi. His knowledge was outstanding. He worked well with his colleagues to share information on animal sightings. He got us there safely and promptly. He made a trip of a lifetime better than we could ask for or imagine. His professionalism and kind temperament mixed with enthusiasm, punctuality and reliability made the tour brilliant and fun. No question was stupid. He made sure we had the best views of the animals. John Mwangi navigated tough terrain seamlessly.
The transport was clean and very comfortable. This man is an asset, he deserves a pay rise.
The accommodation and food was lovely. Nothing less than 4 stars.
