Amazing Safari Experience
Our entire safari with Leopard Orchid Safaris was exceptional from start to finish and the whole experience exceeded all of our expectations!
This was our first time going on a safari and we chose to do a 10 day itinerary across Kenya's most famous parks. Michael the tour consultant communicated everything clearly, answering all of our queries and ensuring that the booking process was smooth and efficient. Our preferences for things like vegan food were communicated clearly to all of the lodges and we felt that everything was really well organized.
Our guide John did a truly amazing job and ensured that we had an unforgettable experience. Throughout our entire journey, John's genuine, friendly attitude and fun humor ensured that we always felt comfortable and completely safe. We opted to drive between each of the parks and despite the long distances, the hours flew by and John kept us entertained with so many interesting facts about the places and animals, answering all of our questions and demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness to guarantee that we had the best time.
John is very knowledgeable about all kinds of animals and with his expertise we saw everything that we wanted to see and more! John helped us witness some really special wildlife encounters and knew the best way to position the vehicle to capture these special moments on camera, as you can see in the photos attached. No matter which park or what time of day, John always knew the best areas to look for animals and often we were the only ones to witness these encounters. Some of the highlights include being surrounded by a pack of young lions in Samburu, spotting a leopard walking down a river bed, and witnessing two bull elephants sparring play fighting with their tusks in Amboseli.
We honestly could not have asked for a better guide and truly appreciate that we got to experience this adventure with John!
Our favourite parks that we visited were Samburu, Masai Mara and Amboseli, but even some of the shorter stops such as Nakuru and Lake Naivasha were way more interesting than we expected, and all of the lodges in each area were super impressive with high quality buffet meals and clean, comfy accomodation. Before our trip we were concerned that 10 days on safari might be a bit too intense for a first time, but this turned out to be a perfect amount of time to get a real good overview of what Kenya has to offer!
Overall we highly recommend Leopard Orchid Safaris and without a doubt would choose them again for our next safari!

Truly Incredible and Life Changing
My wife and I went on a 7-day safari that included Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater. It was truly life-changing experience for both of us, one that we will cherish forever. We have cannot say enough amazing things about our guide, Kiva! He was absolutely brilliant in his knowledge of tracking the animals and knowing where to find the ones we we really hoped to see (numerous Lion prides, leopard, cheetahs and cubs, hippos, giraffes, the list goes on!) Kiva also had an uncanny intuition on how to put us into position so that we could get the best possible angles for breath taking photos and video! He was so knowledgeable but also went above and beyond the entire safari. In addition, Kiva was such a caring guide who truly showed us the beauty of Tanzania and the people and culture of Tanzania. He is an absolutely wonderful human being, and was always there to help others in need (overheating engines, stuck vehicles, accidents, etc.) He radiates warmth and joy, and went far above and beyond to ensure that we had a world class experience, one that we will hold in our hearts forever. We began the journey with Kiva as clients, but ended as dear friends. We cannot recommend this company and Kiva enough. Thank you Kiva, Asante sana!!

Amazing experience!!
If you’re lucky enough to get David Mnyama as your guide, consider your safari already a success. This guy has jokes, patience, and eagle eyes for spotting animals hiding in the bushes. He even knows animal names in Chinese, which cracked us up. Excellent driving skills, super punctual, and clearly passionate about his job. Highly recommend!

Our family had the most amazing two days thanks to our guide David Mnyama. He was so kind and patient with us, made sure everyone got the best view of every animal, and even helped us catch the wildebeest crossing live. His driving was smooth and confident, and he was always respectful and on time. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

David is a very good driver and tour guide
Having been on several safaris before, I can confidently say David Mnyama is one of the most skilled and knowledgeable guides we’ve encountered. His understanding of animal behavior and habitat is impressive, and his driving skills allowed us to navigate tricky terrain with ease. He was professional, punctual, and multilingual — even greeting us with animal names in Chinese! We saw everything on our list, including the river crossing. Absolutely recommend him.

Wonderful experience
We spent two unforgettable days on safari with David Mnyama, and he exceeded every expectation. His knowledge of animal behavior is next level — he could predict where the animals would move before it even happened, which is how we ended up witnessing the full wildebeest crossing at the Mara River.
