Perfect Safari with the best driver
Our safari was brilliant and gave us so many wonderful memories and moments. We saw an incredible variety of animals and were truly impressed. Our tour guide, Daniel, showed us the most beautiful spots in the various national parks and always found the best places to spot the animals. He knew lots of interesting facts about every animal and answered all our questions. The safari was perfectly organised from start to finish and everything went exactly to plan.
We would recommend the tour – and Daniel in particular – to all our friends and acquaintances.

My husband and I booked a private, custom 7 day tour of Uganda and Rwanda that included visiting the Gorillas in both countries, the Golden Monkeys, and Chimps. The price was reasonable, the owner, Edison, was responsive, professional and attentive. Our guide, Herbert, far exceeded our expectations. He was an expert at spotting animals and his knowledge of each animal was impressive. Herbert was friendly and kind to the wildlife, to us and to others around him. I can't say enough good things about Herbert. We would absolutely recommend using Bamboo Ecotours and Herbert again.

Wonderful Safari with great Guides
We (3 adults and 2 kids of 11 and 14 years) did 7 days of safari in tarangire, serengeti and ngorongoro with our guides Fidelis and Franky in August 2026 and had the best days. Our two guides were wonderful and contributed a lot that we had an amazing time. We saw so many animals because of the great intuition of our guides. Once they followed footprints of a lion and we actually found the lions. Our highlight was seeing a cheetah hunting a gazelle.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience on our safari. We were amazed by how much we saw over just a few days. Our guide, Hoppy, did a great job throughout. The trip felt very personal and tailored to us, especially since it was just the two of us for the whole safari. We enjoyed getting to know him, and he worked hard to give us a memorable experience. We saw the Big Five and even received a certificate at the end, which was a fun touch and something we’ll be happy to have at home.
The wildlife sightings were incredible. I was blown away by how close the animals actually get. I was sort of expecting to need to look off in the distance to spot them, but the animals were everywhere and right up next to the vehicle in some cases. We saw elephants, rhinos, buffalo, leopard, and lions, along with many other animals. One of the most exciting moments was seeing a group of lions surround the vehicle, snarling at each other. They stopped just outside the car, within touching distance and looked in at us. It was truly intimidating to see their predator eyes that close. We also saw two brother cheetahs eating a kill, which was spectacular. Earlier in the trip we had great sightings of hippos, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, crocodiles, antelope, birds, and many other animals. It really felt like each day brought something special. Staying inside the park at the lodges was fantastic in retrospect and made the safari feel much more immersive.
The only small surprise was that we did not spend quite as much time in the open-air vehicle as I expected. We mostly used the closed air van. That said, the mornings were very chilly, and I think this was done out of consideration for us. When we did use the open-air vehicle, it was very cool and definitely gave a better view and a more classic safari feel. Overall, we really enjoyed the safari and would highly recommend it. Everything was well organized, personal, and full of unforgettable wildlife encounters.

We were warmly welcomed at the airport and taken to our hotel.
The entire safari was very well organized. Everything ran smoothly, communication was excellent, and everything went exactly as we had hoped.
The driver and guide were very experienced and knew exactly where to go to find the animals. We saw the Big Five and many other animals as well.
The vehicle had a minor technical issue once. However, it was handled professionally, and our safari experience was not affected at all.
In the end, we were very happy and absolutely satisfied. We got more than we expected.

We had a truly great experience with this operator from start to finish. Communication was another highlight: the owner stayed in touch with us the whole time, before and during the trip, so we never felt left on our own. We were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five within just two days, which exceeded our expectations. Everything on the ground matched exactly what had been offered and agreed beforehand - no surprises, no hidden costs. The camps were also really nice, comfortable and well located, with friendly staff and good food. Overall a great experience and excellent value for money. Unbelievable Safari with Camilius and Lion King
Where to even start - what an amazing safari we had with the Lion King team and our guide Camlius.
Camilius was such a spectacular guide - taught us so much about Tanzania and all of the incredible animals that we saw. He was truly an expert guide which made the trip so awesome. Everything else along the way, the food, the lodging, the people at all the hotels, the animal sightings was amazing. Lion King is a very professional company, and we are so happy that we chose them.
Our itinerary was mid-range, 9 days and 8 nights in the Serengeti. Just truly spectacular! Thank you Camilius for the trip of a lifetime!
