Mr. Ombeni from Gosheni is probably one of the best guide around Tanzania that anybody could hope for. His 10+ years of experience is fully demonstrated on his deeply imprinted safari routes around Arusha / Tarangire / Ngorongoro in his mind, meticulous and accommodating planning, deep knowledge on all the species we encountered - big or small.
To highlight, Mr. Ombeni is one of the best choices you could make if the wish is to encounter all the top wildlife. His pair of eagle eyes are surreal - he managed to spot baby cheetahs, pack of rhinos, resting lions hidden under trees from 300 meters and in some cases 1+ km away. How he managed to do that remains a myth and I could only classify it as a talent (or magic, if you wish).
Without exaggeration, his guiding has helped deliver an unforgettable experience that combines laughter, wildlife appreciation, and friendship.

Amazing Honeymoon Experience in the Serengeti
My wife and I had an amazing recent honeymoon safari experience with Gosheni. From the planning to the trip itself, they worked to make sure that everything went seamlessly. We had a great array of camps scheduled by Maliwaza and enjoyed every one of them. On the safari side, our guide Samir did everything he could to make it special. From the beginning, as we departed Arusha, he ensured we made it to the parks in a timely fashion and displayed a sense of urgency to ensure we made our scheduled stops and saw what we wanted to see. He was always in touch with other drivers and ensured we were always in the best places at the right time. We had the opportunity to see all of the Big Five and had great vantage points to see them all. Even at lunch time, he always had a camping spot and a great meal ready to go. We can’t recommend Gosheni enough!

Well organised and fantastic tour.
An African safari had been a bucket list holiday dream for both myself and my partner for a very long time. After the first Safari company we choose stole our deposit, we were hesitant to book with another tour operator.
We decided to go with Topma tours and weren't disappointed!
We told Max what we wanted to see and he made it happen. Max organised everything smoothly from transport to accommodation, tour guides etc. Any time during the Safari when we had any questions or requests, Max answered his phone promptly. Immediately attending to our needs, and comforts
We were able to see all of the big five in the first day and then again many times during the ten day tour. Our drivers were all fabulous in both Kenya and Tanzania . Our Kenyan guide Kaisane is a Masai Warrior and made us feel safe and secure at all times. Our guide Joseph in Tanzania was also very knowledgeable and informative.

A dream come true!
Our experience with James Gichina was absolutely amazing!
From the very first moment, James proved to be a true professional — attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly dedicated. He went above and beyond to make sure we could see as many animals as possible, and he patiently explained everything about them, from their behavior to their natural habitats.
What stood out most was his kindness and patience. James was always available, constantly checking that we were comfortable, safe, and enjoying every part of the trip. You could really feel that he cared about us personally and wanted us to have the best experience possible.
A few things that could be improved:
• The payment process was a bit confusing. When we arrived on the first day, the reception asked us to pay an additional $80 per person without informing us in advance or explaining why. It would be great if this could be clarified ahead of time for future guests.
• The food was okay, but as a vegan, the options were very limited — mostly rice. It would be wonderful to see a bit more variety in the meals, even just some simple dishes like pasta, pizza, or something sweet like chocolate.
• On one of the days, there was no hot water in the shower because of a power outage — not a major issue, but still worth noting.
Despite these small issues, everything else was truly fantastic. The safari itself exceeded our expectations — it was beautiful, well-organized, and we genuinely felt safe and cared for the entire time.
We can honestly say we fulfilled a dream!
I highly recommend booking your safari with Jockey Safaris, and if you can — make sure you go with James. He will make your trip unforgettable!

Excellently organized tour
The Tour was really well organized and the experience was fantastic. Our guide Loth was very well informed and answered our queries patiently and made this experience even more cool. We saw all animals multiple times over due to the experience of Loth and we are really pleased about it. The accomodation and the food we're also top notch. Overall, a definitely recommended tour.

The safari itself was exceptional. We stayed at Kambaku River Sands in Timbavati, where comfort blends naturally with the wild. Our guide and tracker were skilled and passionate, turning every drive into something memorable. Flexible and professional support
We enjoyed our safari in Masai Mara a lot and were taken good care of by our guide Isaiah. He even proposed to wait while we did a small boattrip in Naivasha to drop us off afterwards at our next accomodation.
Arranging the trip in advance was also made very easy with te support of Steve, who answered all our questions and was flexible enough to make changes on the itinerary while we were in the progress of updating our full Kenia trip.

Trip of a Lifetime
We had a fantastic experience in Tanzania this summer.
When we were booking there were many options from which to choose. The hard part was hoping to have a great guide because this could make or break the trip.
We ended up getting a great guide, Macha. From start to finish, Macha made our trip effortless. He listened to us and knew what it was we were looking for. He knew the parks like the back of his hand and took us to places that were a little more remote and there weren’t as many jeeps around. One day we stopped, in silence, and watched a heard of hundreds of zebras, up close, in the Serengeti. No other jeep tours around, just silence, surrounded by one of the most beautiful scenes we had ever seen. Every day was more exciting than the day before. We saw prides of lions, individual lions up close without any one else around. We saw a mother cheetah who just brought her cubs a fresh kill, which was unbelievable to watch. We saw a leopard relaxing in a tree. There were elephants, nursing elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, hippos, warthogs, flamingos and other exotic birds.
Our safari was considered a mid-range safari, but it seemed anything but mid-range. The accommodations were all beautiful. Dinner and breakfast were usually buffet and were always excellent. One of the highlights was an infinite edged pool overlooking the Serengeti.
Our days would begin at about 7:30 or 8:00 when Macha would pick us up at the camp after breakfast. We wouldn’t usually return til about 5 or 6. Even though all the properties were beautiful, we actually didn’t spend all that much time there except for a couple drinks, dinner, some time by a fire and then it was bedtime and off for another day.
All the communication leading up to the trip was spot on. Everything was arranged ahead of time and nothing was left to chance.
Given our experience, we would go back in a second. We are actually thinking of doing another within the next few years.
Should we decide to go, we would absolutely recommend Mambeu Tanzania. We would also hope to be able to have Macha as our guide. He did really make the trip the trip of a lifetime. This experience will be hard to top.
