An Unforgettable Safari Experience in Mikumi! 🐘🦒🦓
Our experience at Mikumi National Park was absolutely amazing! We would like to thank the entire team for their kindness, professionalism, excellent organization, and the wonderful treatment we received throughout the day.
We enjoyed every moment of the safari and were lucky enough to see so many animals in their natural habitat, which made the experience even more special. Everything was well organized, and we felt comfortable and well taken care of from beginning to end.
Without a doubt, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania, and we highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Zanzibar who wants to go on a safari.

Everything that I had hoped for and more
Our trip with African Portfolio provided my two sisters and I with a custom-tailored trip that included game drives where we essentially had a private guide. At every sighting we were the first to get there and had the most advantageous view. Our guides deep knowledge was unexpected and absolutely crucial for such an outstanding experience. We stayed in tented camps, a luxury hotel and other top notch lodging with exquisite care, unparalleled beauty and astounding experiences. I will NEVER forget the first evening in Tarangire where we were drinking sundowners around a fire pit only to be informed that a lioness was drinking from the fresh water swimming pool only about 40 feet away. Shock and awe! But I also must say that during the trip I experienced some terrible problems due to my prescription anti-malarial Malarone - which made me paranoid and delusional. Fortunately, our guide took me to a clinic (FAME) that was founded and run by an American ex-pat and the problem was fortunately solved. Note: I am prone to depression and anxiety and anti-malarial drugs could engender responses such as I had; I hope this has been solved since then by drug companies. Anyway, our trip was saved and I had a life-changing experience due to all that happened and what we saw. African Portfolio is well worth the money; their mission is to serve up an astonishing experience and I am so grateful that we chose to travel with them. I still communicate via Facebook with one of our guides!
