Absolutely LOVED our experience with Serengeti African Tours, Linah and our amazing driver, Elisha!
TLDR: Everyone was so kind, food delicious and accommodations BETTER than expected even though we did the budget camping safari, we saw the big 5 and more, connected with our driver on a personal level and were in tears leaving! 😭😭 Info on camping safari below
Booking a safari can be overwhelming- there are so many companies and we wanted to be responsible tourists and book a safari company that was Tanzanian owned. Linah was one of the first to respond, sending me various options and finally settling on a custom blend of the various options they had- 5 days of “budget” safari camping including accommodations and all 3 meals every day, and 1 day of the materuni waterfall & coffee tour for what we felt was a more than fair price of $1200 per person. Later we added the hot air balloon, but unfortunately we didn’t fly due to safety and weather and I received a full refund (no fault of Serengeti)
We were picked up promptly every day, everything was so easy, fun and set up for us to enjoy ourselves and get what we wanted out of our experience. Even though we spent hours in the safari car - it flew by because we were laughing and enjoying the company of those in our group who were our age and similar backgrounds, plus we thoroughly enjoyed our driver, Elisha’s sense of humor, kindness and personable personality as well as the facts he taught us about the animals and the country!
If you’re curious about the camping experience, there are toilets, sinks and showers at every campsite! We also were able to watch wildlife at both campsites but especially at the one on the crater rim, we saw giraffes, zebras, and gazelle IN the camp! Absolutely amazing experience and definitely worth the challenge of camping- which really wasn’t a challenge at all since everything is done for you. I even lost my coat at one of the stops but I wasnt Cold at the crater rim camp at all. All meals were hot and delicious such as chicken, rice, vegetables, pasta, beef curry etc for lunch and dinner, pancakes, eggs and sausage for breakfast. There are lots of stops for the restroom and coffees! ☕️
The car is very comfortable, safe and easy to spend hours in and also to view the animals through the roof of the car!
We saw multiples of every single animal we came to see, including the rare ones like leopards, cheetahs and rhinos! We even saw babies of almost all the animals we wanted to see! Elisha pulled all the stops to make those sightings happen, driving across miles of land to find just one animal if necessary! When we left, we were genuinely so sad and in tears to leave him and our “safari family”. I will be recommending this company, Linah and Elisha to anyone who wants to do a safari in Tanzania! I have 0 regrets and only wish it was longer 🫶🏻

A great experience traveling across northern Botswana.
The 9-day (8-night) mobile safari went exactly as planned. The food was varied and plentiful, including fresh homemade bread every day. Wildlife sightings increased as the days went by. Our guide, Titsi, was a true professional—an excellent driver and tracker, and a great conversationalist. I would certainly recommend Travel Creations.

Great Safari with Whistling travel
We had a great safari with Whistling Travel and our guide, Edga Izoba. Edga was very experienced and taught us a lot about wildlife and nature. We saw many animals and also the wildebeest river crossing twice.
Edga was also very helpful. I left my phone at one of the lodges, and he helped me get it back. He also kept the car clean every day.
Whistling Travel was very reliable. They gave us detailed information before the trip and checked in with us throughout the safari. There was one issue when we took a wrong route and lost a few hours, but the company responded effectively and we were satisfied with how they handled it.
Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend Whistling Travel and Edga Izoba!

Wonderful experience
I had a great experience with African Beast. Harrison was a brilliant driver and guide, and was excellent at finding the right spots to find animals, views of Kilimanjaro and get great photos. The camp was comfortable and staff were very hospitable and welcoming. Great value for money, I’d definitely recommend.

From the moment I first contacted Josero Tours, everything was handled brilliantly. I revised my itinerary multiple times, and they were incredibly patient, helpful, and flexible throughout the entire process. They gave us excellent suggestions on the best activities, routes, and places to visit, which helped create the perfect safari experience.
A special thank you to Henry, who was our travel agent and was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He was always helpful, responsive, and made sure everything was organised exactly how we wanted it.
When we arrived, Judith and Mark met us at the starting point of our tour and gave us a great welcome, making the whole experience feel smooth and well organised from the very beginning.
Our driver, John, was absolutely brilliant. We had a completely private tour, and he stayed with us throughout the entire journey. We had some incredibly long days, including 10–12 hour drives, but John was always patient, professional, and determined to give us the best possible experience. He was fantastic at helping us spot and find animals and genuinely made the safari even more enjoyable.
Our itinerary included Masai Mara, where we stayed at the incredible Sarova Hotel, which I would highly recommend. We then visited Lake Nakuru, another amazing destination that I would definitely recommend, followed by Lake Naivasha.
Everything throughout the entire trip went extremely smoothly, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a single thing about the experience.

We had an incredible stay! Everything was extremely well-organized, right from our pick-up in Zanzibar all the way to the end.
Our guides, Jafari and Chabani, were wonderful—punctual, professional, and attentive. Everything was just perfect. We were lucky enough to see everything: lions, elephants, zebras, and more. They are truly conscientious and went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time.
A special mention to Maria during our stay at the lodge, who was absolutely lovely, as was the rest of the team. I highly recommend them!

Everything was so well organised, reliable and always on time. The accommodation throughout the trip was great, and the car was really comfortable, which made the longer journeys much more enjoyable.
One of the biggest highlights was definitely our hot air balloon safari – such an amazing experience and something I’d highly recommend!

Excellent safari experience, value for money
An incredible first safari with Suricata Safaris! The planning was seamless from start to finish—Linda made booking easy, and Prince gave us a smooth late-night airport pickup. Our guide, Damian, was fantastic throughout our 4-day trip. He made sure we saw the Big Five, cheetahs, and plenty of wildlife without ever feeling rushed, took great care of us, and even taught us some Swahili. Highly recommended!

I have compared and shortlisted several mid and high end tour operators and eventually selected Jungleroam as they provide fastest responses amongst others. The tour consultant, Vincent and Mike answered all our questions in a straightforward, transparent and detailed manner despite several rounds of enquiries and adjustments to our itinerary. Jungleroam has been able to reserve all our desired accomodations and provide timely updates. I have actually also obtained more angles of information and reviews about Jungleroam from other platform such as Rednote prior to booking.
Thanks alot for the superb service from our guide - Mr Eric Mundia, whom played a vital role in making our first safari a lifetime good memory. He was very punctual since day 1 until the last day of the trip, leaving a very good first impression. Throughout the journey of transiting, he shared his vast experiences and demonstrated application of his professional skills in safari tour guiding, eg. We managed to gather Big5 and Ugly5 within a very short period, and explored many other animals. He shared interesting stories about the life of Kenyan, funny things happened during safaris, and well-versed in floras and faunas in Africa. He has a superb driving skill - stable, safe and yet able to go through the obstacles/ rough roads/ small rivers/ deep mud holes successfully (notwithstanding that some other cars couldn’t make it through)! His wide connection and experience in judging/ analysing the actions of the animals/ other safari cars has made him a competent safari tour guide in maximising our chances to view more animals/ animals’ interactions meaningfully. He has also gone beyond ordinary in keeping adjusting his car to find a sweet spot for us to view the scene better, and yet ethically stay a safe distance away from the wildlife (instead of just wanting to go too near which could disturb the wildlife), which we are very appreciative of it. He brought us to some local rest area with good Kenyan food and we loved it so much and attempted to try all the Kenyan food that he shared with us along the journey.
