We had an incredible 7day safari with Jacmiya Safaris. A big thank you to Jael for organizing a seamless trip for my family. Her prompt replies and attentiveness gave us the confidence right from the start.

Very good safari experience overall
We had a very good safari experience overall, and we would especially like to highlight our driver, Ben. He was extremely professional, punctual and clearly very experienced. It was also clear that he genuinely enjoys his job and takes pride in what he does.
In just two days of safari, we were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, which was one of the highlights of our trip. Ben is also a very good photographer and kindly shared the photos he took with us at the end of the safari. This was a lovely extra and something we really appreciated.
Ben was consistently punctual and always respected the schedules and timings that had been communicated to us, which made the whole experience very smooth and well organised. His driving skills were also excellent, and we always felt safe and comfortable during the game drives.
There are, however, a couple of areas that we think could be improved. The main one is the guiding and communication. The driver-guide was not particularly communicative and did not spontaneously provide much information about the animals, their behaviour or the ecosystem. When we asked questions, he was happy to answer and provided useful information, but the experience was more that of having an experienced driver who knows the park very well than having a traditional safari guide who actively explains what you are seeing throughout the game drive. For us, this was the main difference.
We would also like to mention the pressure placed on drivers regarding reviews. We had the impression that drivers are under quite a lot of pressure to obtain positive reviews from clients, and this made us feel somewhat uncomfortable. We completely understand that reviews are important to a company, but we believe this could be handled more carefully by the management of Axis Africa Safari. Drivers should not feel that they have to put pressure on clients to leave a review, particularly a positive one. We believe that allowing reviews to happen naturally would make the experience more relaxed and enjoyable for both clients and drivers.
Overall, we had a positive experience and are especially grateful to Ben for his professionalism, excellent driving skills, punctuality and for helping us have such a successful safari. Seeing the Big Five in just two days was an unforgettable experience, and Ben played an important role in making it possible.

Brilliant!
We had the most incredible day on safari at Mikumi National Park, and it honestly exceeded all of our expectations. 🐘🦒🦓🦁
We booked a private safari, which meant we had the buggy completely to ourselves, along with our guide and driver. This made the whole experience feel so personal and relaxed.
Our guides, Ernest and Freddie, were absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond all day to make sure we had the best possible experience, taking the time to find as many animals as they could and making sure we never felt rushed. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine passion for the wildlife really made the day.
And what a day it was! We saw elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, lions and even a cheetah! Seeing these animals in their natural environment was something we’ll never forget.
We also had a lovely food break during the day, which was a welcome chance to sit down, take everything in and enjoy the experience.
But the best review of all came from my 11-year-old daughter, who simply said it was “the best day of my life.” ❤️
We couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience. Thank you so much to Ernest and Freddie for making such a special day even more memorable. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tanzania! 🌍🐘

Amazing experience in Tanzania
We used Leader Expeditions through Getaway Trekking an Australian company for our African adventures. Not only did we climb Mt Kilimanjaro but also experienced 3 great safari as well. The climb was well staffed with a great team well versed in the processes. Excellent food was provided throughout our journey and we felt well supported. During the Safari even with a vehicle breakdown, problems were solved quickly without any inconvenience to us.

FANTASTIC experience from start to finish- the tour guide, Elibarick & operator were incredible.
The tour exceeded every expectation we had. It was an incredible experience from start to finish- that words simply can’t describe.
It wasn’t only my birthday but my partner also proposed to me on this trip. Knowing this the guide & tour operator ensured every detail was perfect. From the very start, singing happy birthday to me upon arrival with a cake to the guide, Elibarick, allowing we saw everything we could have imagined and going above and beyond to provide the most incredible experience.
We would highly recommend and have already recommended Elibarick to everyone we know. He wasn’t only attentive, knowledgeable, and professional but also extremely kind and respectful in every way. He became a friend and we both believe if he wasn’t our tour guide the experience wouldn’t have been as amazing as it has been.
Our tour consisted of flying from Zanzibar to Arusha, then a day in Tarangire National Park, where we saw elephants, zebras, wild beast, giraffe to name a few. Elibarick ensured we saw everything we wished for and told us so many interesting facts about these animals. He took us to all the fantastic view points and even took us to a village on route to our hotel which allowed us to experience the traditional African culture.
We then stayed at Escarpment Lodge where the staff were incredible, making a special birthday somehow even better, to Elibarick organising birthday drinks whilst watching the sunset, to the room birthday decorations and the whole kitchen staff singing traditional songs along with happy birthday with a homemade cake at dinner!
On the second day we visited the Ngorongoro Crater, a testing driving especially in the weather conditions but we were in safe hands with Elibarick. The crater was the most incredible place where we saw the most awesome animals up close! Extremely lucky but also it was through our tour guide having so many links and finding the best places! He also stayed away from the crowd which made our experience even better.
Overall I couldn’t recommend the whole experience to everyone, I would particularly recommend our tour guide and where we stayed. It wouldn't have been the same without the people who made it so incredible.

Wow! Such a great experience with Shenga from start to finish!!
There are thousands of safari company in Tanzania but as I was looking around, I felt the most comfortable with Shenga. Communication was great along with the cost. Kelvin and I kept in communication for a year and he helped me organized a seamless safari experience for my group. The accomodations were top notch and the guides were very knowledgeable. We lucked out with seeing the big 5s, all thanks to the guides. We were also spoiled with hot meals whilst other groups had box lunches. All around wonderful experience!

Great
This was a great safari tour, excellent value, Walter our driver and guide was responsible and knowledgeable on the safari and we saw some amazing animals. I stayed at flair camp which was I was happy with. Masai village (separate from this tour) was an interesting and definitely worthwhile optional add on but just be mindful once there the villagers will try to get you to buy things beyond the entrance fee (I felt put on the spot) but I still think it’s worth the experience.

5 STARS ARE NOT ENOUGH!
Let's start from the beginning. The trip was organized at the last minute, a few days before departure. We had only a few days available and the goal was clear: to see the great migration. In a couple of days, I sent requests to several tour operators, specifying dates, budget, and wishes. Rioba Safaris was the one that immediately understood what we were looking for, and in 24 hours, via WhatsApp, we finalized everything. Four nights: one in Ngorongoro, one in the Central Serengeti, two in the Northern Serengeti (near the Mara River) with a flyout to Arusha from the Kogatende airstrip. Mid-range budget. Private tour, meaning a car and guide just for us. A 30% deposit, with the balance due at the start of the safari in Arusha. In Tanzania, they use a sort of local PayPal if you want to use a credit card. Very convenient and easy, they send you a link where you enter the amount and card details. Instant. And that's the previous part at the beginning. We met at our hotel in Arusha (booked independently) early in the morning, paid the balance, and off we went, the safari began. We were assigned a young guide, Pancras, with whom we immediately connected. Simply fantastic; despite his young age, he proved to be a highly skilled guide, experienced, and knowledgeable. Perhaps also due to a great deal of luck, but in four days we were able to see everything and more, amassing hours of footage and hundreds of photographs. Among the highlights were a lioness with her cubs, a cheetah eating a gazelle, two river crossings, both of enormous size, a leopard hunting an impala, eagles, and so on. In short, it was every inch the best National Geographic documentary. The accommodations we chose were all truly excellent, and even small setbacks like a flat tire proved to be an opportunity to interact and get to know the local communities. In short, I can only thank Rioba Safaris and its guide, Pancras. A truly wonderful choice.
