We were very pleased with our experience with African Big Cats! We just completed our six day safari taking us from Arusha to the northern Serengeti and were blown away by every aspect. In particular, our guide Martin was patient, thoroughly knowledgeable, experienced, and a careful driver. Martin is the perfect ambassador for Tanzania - welcoming, kind and generous. Prior to our tour, the planning and communication from Salim and Naomi was prompt and extremely helpful. The lodges the team at African Big Cats recommended were exceptional as well! Some experiences change you in ways you don’t expect. Our safari with Tanzanian Platinumz Safaris was one of those rare journeys, and at the center of it all was Jimmy — the person who turned a beautiful itinerary into something profoundly meaningful.
From the moment we stepped into the vehicle, Jimmy carried a quiet strength that made us feel safe, protected, and completely at ease. He didn’t just know the land; he belonged to it. Every sunrise, every distant roar, every rustle in the grass meant something to him. Watching him work was like watching someone communicate with the Serengeti itself. He saw things long before we did. He felt things long before we understood them. And he shared it all with a kindness and patience that made us feel like we were discovering Tanzania with a friend, not a guide.
Jimmy cared about us in a way that went far beyond professionalism. He checked on us constantly, made sure we were comfortable, made sure we were never too hot, too tired, too hungry. He anticipated what we needed before we even knew ourselves. And every time he stopped the vehicle, every time he pointed out something in the distance, it felt like he was gifting us a moment he genuinely wanted us to have.
We saw the Big Five and more, each sighting more powerful than the last. But nothing compares to the moment that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. In the heart of the Serengeti, Jimmy chose a quiet acacia tree for our lunch stop. The plains were warm and endless, the kind of silence that feels alive. We sat there, feeling completely at peace, when a lioness appeared from the golden grass. She moved with a softness that didn’t disturb the stillness. She approached the tree, paused, and then — as if the world had slowed just for us — she climbed it.
She climbed the very tree we were resting under.
For a few surreal, breathtaking minutes, she stayed there with us. No fear. No urgency. Just presence. It felt like the Serengeti opened its heart and let us in. And through it all, Jimmy stood nearby, calm and steady, making sure we felt safe enough to truly absorb the moment. His quiet reassurance allowed us to experience something most people only dream of.
This wasn’t just a safari. It was a reminder of how beautiful the world can be when someone who loves it guides you through it. Jimmy didn’t just show us Tanzania. He made us feel it. He made us understand it. He made us fall in love with it.

Kihindo company was amazing, the food, accommodation, staff and the safari was beautiful!!!
Couldn’t recommend Kihindo tours enough!!! The staff are so kind and welcoming, food was amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner. The accommodation was really nice, comfortable and safe but still felt you was getting the safari life experience. Shout out to Maarufu best tour guide ever from picking us up to dropping us home he was so friendly, so knowledgeable on so many things about this beautiful country, place and so good during the safari made sure we saw everything and so positive we would see everything got to see all big 4 animals in the national park plus many more he truly went above and beyond. Couldn’t recommend this company enough truly won’t regret it!!!!

Incredible value for money
Our 7-day Safari with Jocky Tours was an absolutely incredible and unforgettable experience. Everything was very well planned and organized by Mineh. Our driver, Kikitu, was insanely good, very knowledgeable, funny, spoke perfect English and was very committed in making sure that we all had the best experience. A fantastic experience
We had a fantastic experience with Gerald: he has a long and deep knowledge of the safari world and of the parks we visited. He was always willing to satisfy our requests and always very nice and has a great experience and ability to provide insights and information on all the different types of animals.
