I’ve almost completed the big wildlife checklist! Spotting a serval in daylight was such an amazing surprise. We also saw cheetahs with their cubs having breakfast, plus the rare rhinos. Our guide Dickson always got us to the sighting spot ahead of everyone else. It’s been a wonderful 10-day trip!

Absolutely fantastic and smooth safari experience!
I had such an amazing time on this safari in Tanzania! Everything was really well organized, and our guide was knowledgeable, attentive, and great to travel with.
We visited Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti. We saw so many different animals in the wild throughout the trip and were incredibly lucky to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. Definitely one of the most unforgettable moments of the whole safari!
I also happened to celebrate my birthday during the trip, and the operator surprised me with a thoughtful birthday gift. It was completely unexpected and made a special trip even more memorable.
I would recommend West Wild to people planning a safari, and I’ll definitely be reaching out to them again for my future trips in East Africa.

Warm and friendly owner
The owner was very welcoming; he personally met me at the Arusha airport with a sign. He was happy to accommodate any requests, clearly explaining any additional costs upfront (he even helped me sort out a SIM card and a razor). I compared several operators before the trip, and his itinerary was the most sensible—well-paced and reasonably priced. The accommodations were excellent, too; even at hotels where the Wi-Fi wasn't great, I loved the architecture and décor, and the stay was very comfortable. I also signed up for the Lake Manyara night safari and the hot air balloon ride; the balloon ride was pricey, but definitely worth it.

Great experience despite some unexpected twists
We’ve been looking forward to this trip since January. When we first reached out to the travel agency, they were super responsive and put together such a beautifully detailed plan, which is why we chose them. However, as we continued communicating later on, their replies became a bit slow, making us a little anxious. Thankfully, everything worked out in the end.
However, due to a last-minute hotel change, we ended up paying extra, which was slightly over our expected budget. It was also unfortunate that high water levels at one of the hotels prevented us from staying the full two days, depriving us of the chance to fully relax and enjoy the experience.
Despite these unexpected twists, our guide Paul was super experienced and sharp. He took us to see a leopard hunting, crossed the river into the Marsh Pride territory, and let us meet my favorite lion queen, Kito. Watching a herd of elephants pass by was another moment I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. On top of that, he introduced us to rock climbing and geothermal hot spring pools, leaving us with so many precious memories.
All in all, it was a truly unforgettable journey. We completely fell in love with Africa and can't wait to come back next time!
