I am a senior citizen and decided to take a solo trip for a Kenyan safari as part of my bucket list. My family was nervous but Melodica Travel was very user friendly and linked me with a great tour group. Wonderful trip and I highly recommend Melodica. The trip coordinator stayed in touch with my children even when my phone service was spotty and helped me coordinate hotel travel that was not part of the tour.

Tanzania itinerary failures and an unanswered refund promise
We booked a Kenya–Tanzania safari with Wildebeest Safaris in October 2026. This review concerns the Tanzania portion, which left us very dissatisfied.
We were assigned a part-time driver. Vehicle problems also affected two days of our safari. On the first day, we could only travel very slowly because of problems with the vehicle, severely limiting our game drive. There was time to have it repaired after that day’s activities, but this was not done. Instead, we had to leave the park for repairs during the following day’s scheduled game drive, losing more safari time. A problem that should have been dealt with after the first day ended up wasting our time on both days.
Our scheduled Tarangire game drive was cancelled because the operator failed to obtain the permits. Our final-night booking at Airport Planet Lodge also fell through, despite Noah previously assuring us in writing that it was secure. These were not the only problems we experienced.
We chose to remain patient during the trip. On 12 October, Noah promised a total refund of USD 150 for the cancelled Tarangire game drive. I sent him my bank details that day. He has not replied to my follow-up emails.
For us, this is not just about USD 150. It is about lost safari time, failure to deliver the agreed itinerary, and then silence when we asked the operator to honour a written refund promise. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Wildebeest Safaris.

All was good
We were picked up in the airport and had all way through to Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboselli park.
Our guide Timoti was amazing, kind and he took care of us.
We stayed in Ol Tukai Lodge for 3 days and had total 6 games.
After Timoti drove us to Mombasa, some beach holiday.
Highly recommend company and Timoti.

I saw the Big Five in Tanzania!
I had the best time in Tanzania with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris! It was the most amazing trip of my life. We went on safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara, and I saw so many animals: lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos and even the Big Five! My favorite part was seeing the animals so close in real life, it felt like being inside a movie. I also loved the waterfalls and visiting Chemka village, where everyone was so kind and welcoming. Our guides were super nice and funny, and they always helped us find the animals and told us lots of cool facts. The lodges and the hotel were beautiful, and the food was really yummy. I’m still thinking about this trip every day, and I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much to the Zanzi team for the best memories ever. I recommend them to everyone, and I really hope we can go back one day!

Rasta Safari is best
We just came back from a 5-days safari with our guide Rasta man and Salim as our chef. We had the best time, enjoying Rasta’s generous explanation about the animals and maasai culture. We admire the most his passion for nature and Africa. Thank you Rasta and Salim!
