Absolutely Perfect…THE BEST Safari Camping and Lodge Experience!
From the moment we arrived we felt like we were home; the very warmest of welcomes from the team of amazing staff, greeted with Botswana song and the biggest smiles. Bradley, Allan, Penyah, IK, KG, John and the rest of the gang ready and waiting to make our stay the very best it could be. Chobe House is the most authentic property sitting on the Chobe river with such a unique and stunning aspect and offering beautiful accommodation, perfect for our first family safari trip. The rooms are gorgeous, all decorated and furnished with beautiful African inspirations, spacious and the beds are so comfortable. Each room has a delightful en suite bathroom too. There is also a selection of en-suite chalet rooms outside the main house so plenty of room if you’re travelling as a larger group as we were. On arrival our lunch was promptly served and that’s where our amazing culinary journey began! Chefs Sugar and Mavis producing three fantastic meals a day, all freshly cooked and delicious. Travelling with kids aged between ten and sixteen never one moan from any of them! The variation, quality and local produce used excelled any expectations we had and chef Sugar created those delights out in the bush on our two day camping experience, just truly phenomenal. The safari drives and boat trips were the absolute best. Our guides “King Charles” and Kenwa are THE BEST!!! Their knowledge and experience makes for the Safari of a lifetime, they know where to be and when to ensure that you see all the delights the Botswana National Park has to offer. We saw just about every animal there was to see, including the elusive Leopard who was hiding in a tree in the late afternoon. The camping in the National Park is an absolute must, the tents are furnished with comfy beds and the set up is out of this world, it is literally Chobe House recreated in the bush! Sitting by the camp fire sharing stories, dancing and laughing all under the stars with the occasional sounds coming through from the animals around us. We felt completely safe and comfortable that the guides and staff around us had everything under control. I cannot express enough how amazing this holiday has been and how amazing the Chobe House team are. As we left , the Botswana song rang out and the big smiles bid us farewell. This experience has left happy heartfelt emotions that I will never forget and we will definitely be returning to spend more time with the Chobe House family. Our 4-night safari with Kenedy was an unforgettable experience. He is an exceptional guide who made every game drive exciting and rewarding. Thanks to his incredible knowledge, sharp eye, and experience, we were able to spot an amazing variety of wildlife in Tanzania's most beautiful national parks. He always knew where to go to maximize our chances of seeing animals and took the time to explain their behavior, as well as the history and nature of each park. We learned so much while having an incredible time. Kenedy was professional, friendly, patient, and passionate about his work, making our safari even more special. A tour operator that turned a dream holiday into a stressful experience due to poor service, unsafe
Avoid Hekima Safari if you value your safety and holiday experience.
Our experience with Hekima Safari was extremely disappointing. After paying in full, we were pressured during the trip to pay an additional $5,000, with the threat of changes to our itinerary. We eventually paid $1,000 in good faith after a promise from the director, Moppo, that it would be refunded, but we are still waiting.
The safari vehicle was the biggest issue. It was unreliable and, in our experience, unsafe. It broke down repeatedly in remote areas, causing us to lose valuable game-drive time, especially in the Serengeti. Some journeys took up to five hours instead of one due to constant problems.
The vehicle was in poor condition, with no air conditioning, faulty windows, heavy dust and exhaust entering the car, and parts even falling off during the trip. At times, we genuinely feared for our safety.
Other excursions arranged by Hekima Safari were also below expectations, with poor standards compared with what was advertised and what other groups received.
A trip that should have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience became stressful and disappointing. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Hekima Safari.

Well organized and gorgeous
I booked a safari with Kenya Bush Track Safaris, and I would do it again without hesitation. Everything went smoothly, from the planning stage (Maureen is wonderful and always ready to help) to the safari itself, which was an incredible experience.
Besides seeing so many amazing animals, I finally got to see a leopard—a moment I’ll never forget and one that made the trip even more special.
I highly recommend Kenya Bush Track Safaris, and I’ll definitely be contacting them again to organize a safari in northern Kenya.

Incredible Experience
We had an incredible safari experience with Amos as our guide. I have knee problems that make it hard for me to move quickly, and Amos was so patient and accommodating the entire trip — he never rushed me and always made sure I was comfortable getting in and out of the vehicle and moving around at each stop. He drove safely and confidently throughout, which put us completely at ease, and was punctual every single day. Despite my slower pace, he still made sure we saw so many amazing animals up close. Highly recommend Amos to anyone looking for a safari guide who’s professional, and genuinely goes out of his way to accommodate his guests’ needs!
