exciting and unforgetable
We selected this local ground handler in June. Compared with other travel agencies, they provided excellent itinerary planning and recommendations, rather than just suggesting different hotels. A well - arranged itinerary should be the top priority for a safari trip, as it allows travelers to see more kinds of animals.
For this trip, we chose an all - grassland itinerary: Arusha - Tarangire - Central Serengeti - Northern Serengeti - Central Serengeti - Ngorongoro - Moshi. During the journey, we saw countless elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes. We also spotted dozens of lions, encountered cheetahs twice, and witnessed the spectacular scene of wildebeests crossing the river.
Our guide had extensive experience and skillful driving techniques, which even made the "African Massage" (a colloquial term referring to the bumpy ride on unpaved grassland roads, often humorously called "African Massage" by travelers) an interesting part of the trip.

Friendly, professional and easygoing
We had a great experience with African Big Cats Safari. It started with good and quick communication via email. They were kind and flexible. While on safari, we had Ricky as our personal guide. He is kind, easygoing and a real professional. For example: he led us away from a group of elephants, because he knew where they where going next. So we had perfect view when they came to us.
The accomodations were great and diverse, from a nice lodge to a camp in the wilderness with animal noises during the night. African Big Cats Safari is run by local Tanzanians with a lot of kindness and knowlegde. They are flexible, they even suggested a few small changes to make our experience more smooth. And at the end, we debriefed shortly because they were interested in our trip and feedback.
I would recommend this company to everybody.

Our guide, Ombeni Mollel, was absolutely legendary! From the moment we met him, he made sure to understand what we wanted from our safari — and then made every wish come true. Thanks to his incredible knowledge and sharp eyes, we saw countless animals up close: several lion prides, beautiful giraffes and zebras, and even witnessed a cheetah hunting an impala — not once, but twice! It was one of those rare, breathtaking moments that will stay with us forever. Good hotel arrangements and a friendly, patient driver, and we would choose this tour operator again
Although this trip was a bit tiring, we got to see the animals we wanted to see, so we feel it was a very worthwhile journey. Most of the hotels arranged by the local tour operator were quite good, and we were very satisfied. The driver was patient and friendly throughout the trip. If we have the chance in the future, we would choose this tour operator again.

Our tour operator was very kind, patient and funny. We felt safe all the time.
During the safari, we were with Joseph — he has a lot of experience, and we really appreciated how he explained many things about the animals, found the best spots to see and photograph them, and made the experience wonderful. Tiko was our guide for the community experience, and he patiently explained and answered all our questions. I was very pleased with the experience I chose — the value for money was excellent, and I really appreciated the care and attention shown by the guides.

It was an amazing five days. The hotel we stayed at was especially wonderful — I never imagined I’d be able to stay somewhere so luxurious. The food there was also excellent.
Our tour guide drove us over long, rough roads, and I could tell he had great respect for the animals and the natural environment. While other vehicles drove over the grasslands, he only used existing tracks. He didn’t push too hard to show us animals, but instead kept a respectful distance when we observed them.
One disappointment was that, although he promised to show us the sunset, we never got the chance. He mentioned we’d go at the end of the third day, but perhaps he was tired. After we declined his suggestion to take a hot air balloon tour that morning, he said we’d be heading back home, and we ended up missing the sunset.
When we were watching animals, sometimes he would move the car before we were ready, and while he might have had a good view from the driver’s seat, it wasn’t always easy for us to see. Looking back, we probably should have spoken up more. Still, he wasn’t overly talkative and gave us plenty of quiet time, which suited our temperament quite well.
Our tour guide also took us to a souvenir shop, and he kindly told us that we didn’t have to buy anything if we didn’t want to. He even stopped by a shopping mall for us, which was really helpful. We were also grateful that he adjusted the departure time to suit our schedule.
When another tour guide fell ill, he immediately went to help, and seeing that act of kindness really moved me. His car was a bit older compared to others, but honestly, I don’t think there’s anywhere else you could have such a wonderful experience for this price. When I searched in Japanese, the tours I found were much more expensive and offered lower-grade hotels.
The operator we contacted before departure was also excellent — they kept in close touch with us and suggested changing our original 4-day tour to a 5-day one, which made the trip feel truly luxurious. It became an unforgettable experience. I hope more Japanese travelers get to know about this tour.
