Nice people who did a very excellent job. We had enjoy every minute of the safari tour with our guid
5/5

From the beginning of the tour and at the end of the tour the tour manage and her staffs came to see us to make sure we were OK. The tour guide did an excellent job. His eyesight is so good he could spot the animals far away from our jeep and point to us to see. The accommodations are much better than what we originally expected. The food were OK without complaints. Overall it was excellent.

Professional trustworthy Uganda owned company operating in multiple African countries.
5/5

We decided on the 19 day Kubwa Five safari of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania in July 2025 because of their great reviews, they operate in multiple countries, and are a Uganda owned company. A guide from another tour company advised you pay more using a travel agent. I’ve been to Southern Africa and Tsavo west in Kenya before, but this was by far my best trip. In Uganda we met the friendliest people with smiles on their faces. I’m 70, so comfort was important and we chose the top end hotel option. Most were very good, some better than others. I found Wise the best low cost way to transfer payment.

Highlights of Uganda included Murchison Falls, Chimpanzees in Kibale, Gorillas in the Bwindi impenetrable forest. The Batwa cultural tour and orphanage visit moved us. Our Uganda guide, Mustafa has been driving for 8 years which is important as some of the roads can be bumpy with no signs. Mustafa was outstanding, going out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our trip. He found tree climbing lions in Murchison Falls and shoebill storks on the last day driving back to Entebbe.

In Kenya we saw an abundance of wildlife on the boat ride at Lake Naivasha staying at one of the best hotels, SOPA. The balloon ride in Maasai Mara was another memorable experience. We were apprehensive at first. Once floating gently above, we saw herds of wildebeest and zebra, along with lions with their kill. The cultural visit to the Maasai Mara was disappointing as they asked for money for everything although we got a taste as to how they live. I bought a lot of souvenirs to be shipped to Australia and could have used some advice on how to bargain.

It was a long bumpy ride from Kenya to Tanzania where we got a new driver. We tried twice unsuccessfully to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara river at the Maasai Mara and northern Serengeti. I convinced my wife to go on the early morning drive in the northern Serengeti where there are fewer safari vehicles. We were rewarded with an incredible experience, herds of Wildabeest crossing the crocodile infested Mara river. Our driver got us in a great position for taking photos.

Not once did we feel in danger from animals or people. We hardly had any insect bites, perhaps because it was the dry season. We were put in the group of gorillas not requiring a long hike and it only took 5 minutes to spot them. If you love nature, wildlife, and meeting people of different cultures and have an adventurous spirit, Kubwa Five is for you.

Papa John for president
5/5

We had the 7 day tour, totally worth it, all 4 places were unique. Amboseli is definitely worth the extra days and exhausting roadtrip!
I totally recommend Jocky Tours for a budget but nonetheless qualitative service and experience! The schedule was executed as described, with two tiny issues:
1) the first accommodation in Masai Mara was below expectations
2) the last day returning to Nairobi from Amboseli felt a little bit "wasted" because of some non-scheduled transfer arrangements and a "rushed" and incomplete morning game drive
Everything else was perfect. Accommodation budget to mid, food always decent+, communications clear.
Special mention to our amazing driver guide Papa John! He is knowledgeable, very good and safe driver and always eager to help and make sure we have a good time! He even offered us a private extra safari game drive because we had missed the previous day because of filling sick!
Thank you Papa, thank you Jocky!

Great tour guide, accommodation mismatch
4/5

Our driver-tour guide Bariki is above excellence. He is knowledgeable about the habits of animals in the bush, birds as well as plants. As a result, he made our journey a truly memorable experience. Added to that, Bariki's good sense of humour kept us looking forward to each new day.
Gosheni sold us a mid luxury package which had a couple of disappointing hotels- Olkarien Eco Camp and Acacia at Tarangire. Both are part of the Acacia chain, I would steer clear of them. These were not four star but the former was really below three stars. The Olkarien is badly in need of upkeep. However, the staff at both tried their best and we were happy with their efforts. We also stayed at hotels in the Karibu chain, and those were a cut above.
Gosheni needs an operations person, badly. The sales person who sold us the package started ghosting us just before and at the beginning of the trip. That was terrible.
Overall, Gosheni has to try to ensure a more consistent standard, not just good tour guides.

Best local company to travel to Tanzania, a dream came true
5/5

We did a four days safari with our guide Heaven Temba and three days in Zanzíbar.
I checked several local companies for organising the trip and Lion King was one of the best valued
Everything was really well planned, Jovita chose the best places for us to stay.
We were very lucky to have HEAVEN as our guide, he has a deep knowlegde of the animals and parks.
He has also excellent driving skills which made us feel comfortable when travelling.Driving in the parks seems to be very tough but we feel safe with Heaven
We spotted many animals such as lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetah, hippos...
Apart from that Heaven was an easy going, friendly and talkative person, we enjoyed every moment we spent with him, specially my 8 year old daughter Lucía.
We wish we could repeat this wonderful trip in the future.

The overall experience was good.
5/5

Our safari adventure with Axis Africa was an unforgettable experience. From airport pickup to drop-off at our Nairobi stay, the team ensured a seamless end-to-end journey. Jay, our guide and driver, was great at spotting the Big Five during our thrilling safaris through Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. His passion and energy made the experience thrilling. At Amboseli, our guide Peter Kapino's wisdom and consideration added to the adventure, including spotting the Ugly Five and accommodating special requests. He was thoughtful and patient throughout.
The campsite at Mara offered some real adventure, with its muddy pathways and unpredictable weather, while the other stays were comfortable and welcoming. Overall, Axis Africa delivered a well-organized and memorable safari trip.

Great tour!
5/5

Dav Safari and our guide Jerry were excellent! From the beginning they maintained great communication. Our accommodations and meals were excellent. Our flight was delayed but they remained flexible and were still able to get everything in. Jerry was great about talking through what to expect each day and allowed us to make changes on the fly. He also actively sought feedback as he said he was always trying to improve. We saw chimpanzees, gorillas, tree climbing lions, and tons of animals on the boat safari. We very much enjoyed our tour. Thanks!

Amazing
5/5

Our trip to Namibia was absolutely amazing — truly the best trip ever! From the very start, planning with Nicolette was such a pleasure. She is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, and always responded right away. She made the entire planning process effortless and gave us everything we needed to prepare for our journey.

We were lucky enough to have the most incredible tour guide and driver, Lucky. He was without a doubt the best guide and driver we’ve ever had. Friendly, kind, and attentive, he catered to our every need and made us feel completely at home. Lucky went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable, and I have never experienced a guide like him before.

As a driver, Lucky was exceptional — careful, skilled, and incredibly safe, which is so important in Namibia where distances can be long. I always felt completely secure in his care. He also amazed us with his ability to spot wildlife along the roads; it felt like we had our own private safari without even planning one! His eyes are truly incredible for spotting animals, and it made our journey even more magical.

I definitely recommend this tour company and cannot thank Nicolette and Lucky enough for giving us such a perfect, safe, and unforgettable experience in Namibia.
