Review about Pilanesberg Game Reserve by Astrid van der Watt
The roads are in a bad state.
Not many animals to be seen when compared to Kruger National Park.

Very kind people with diverse amazing natures
Tanzania is the first country that I visited in Africa a bit randomly. But it treated us very well. We spent 5 days with Serengeti Mystery on safari tour and another 5 days in Zanzibar enjoying the beautiful beach and ocean. It's a very safe country. People everywhere we visited are very kind and hard working. We saw locals would walk very far to fetch water, etc. I can see how there are so many best in the world long distance runners coming from this country. Zanzibar is more laid back. People like to take it slow and "hakuna matata". The staff accommodating us are all very thoughtful and helpful. I wouldn't be stressed about booking for the next day's activities, because the guides, hotel staff or locals are always there to help. We enjoyed the very close to nature, wildlife, simple and relaxing pace of life there.

A country everyone should experience at least once!
Cape Town is a must, lots to see and do! There are load of good restaurants and pubs but I think Quay Four deserves a mention. We had a fantastic meal here. We stayed in the in Onomo Waterfront hotel, it was good value for money, clean and close enough to walk to the V&A Waterfront.
We flew from Cape Town to Durban and then to Lanseria on FlySafair. Great airline, easy to book with their mobile app. The flights were on time and everything went like clockwork.
We stayed in Umdloti on the North cost, we rented a private apartment. Also lots to do in the area and lovely beaches.
In Johannesburg area we visited The elephant Sanctuary, what a great experience, highly recommended!
We booked a visit to Pilansberg via MoAfrika. They did a wonderful job. We asked for an afternoon and a morning game drive with 1 night's accommodation. This was all handled by them. We stayed at Kwa Maritane, lovely place with fantastic meals. Our game drive with MoAfrika's vehicle was great, the guide knew his stuff and made sure we saw some animals. Unfortunately the Pilansberg was disappointing, the roads are in a terrible state and not as much game as expected. I would rather go to Kruger National Park next time.

friendly, knowledgeable, punctual, professional
We cannot say enough good things about Spirit of Kenya! Our trip planner Victor and guide Dominic went above and beyond to make the 6-day safari memorable for my mom (72 years old) and me.
From the start, Victor was very responsive to all of our queries and requests, and helped us to create an individualized itinerary, which included stops at Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara.
Our wonderful guide Dominic was friendly, courteous, punctual, and very knowledgeable about Kenya's culture and its wildlife. Dominic navigated the streets of Nairobi as well as the grasslands with ease, and he worked very hard, often coordinating with other guides, to ensure that we saw as many animals (lions, zebra, cheetah, rhinos, hyenas) as possible. The jeep that he drove was fully enclosed and very comfortable. We would recommend Spirit of Kenya to anyone looking for a lovely, stress-free trip to Kenya!

10/10 Experience
Wow where to begin, Suricata Safaris were amazing. We made contact with Suricata through safari bookings and from start to finish they were excellent.
We were in contact with Davis who organised and communicated everything to us regarding our booking and making a few extra little requests happen. When we arrived in Tanzania we were greeted at the airport for our transfer which took about an hour to our hotel, booked as part of our safari at the beginning and the end. The hotel was ok nothing special but we were greeted that afternoon by Daniel who gave us a briefing regarding the next few days on safari.
The next day we met our guide Amiri, he was so very kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. His knowledge and animal spotting during the safari was great and he was a really great person to enjoy the trip with. Very good driver I couldn't believe he never got tired but yes Amiri was great. We also had Tito the camp chef. He was great fun and so hard working. Always cooking and helping us set up tents and take them down.
The drive through the National Parks were incredible and made more so by Amiri and Suricata Safaris and the accomodation that we had been booked into by Suricata was awesome. We had such a good time at all the camps.
When we got back to the hotel we were greeted by Daniel again who arranged a city trip for us the following day. Kevin picked us up and we were greeted with a driver and he showed us the sights of Arusha, the cultural arts centre was a must, I could have spent hours there in the art gallery. We also went round a market which was very interesting the food was incredible to see. All in all I couldn't recommend Suricata Safaris highly enough. The experience was made all the more for their help, assistance and guidance through the whole trip. Transfers to and from the airport were great to as was the extra tour around Arusha. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing team ! Friendly, efficient and professional.
We enjoyed every minute of our safary. We was the at the end of may, start of june.
We saw all the animals that we wanted to see (the big 5, wild boars/pumba, hundreds of zebras and wildebeests, baby animals like cheetahs, elephant, hippo, giraffe). How about birds ? Do you like birds ? We love them and we saw so many (eagles, pelicans, ostrich!?, flamingo, kingfisher, secretary bird, zazu from lion king and others). Our guide David was very friendly and exceeded our expectations, always answering our most questions and great spotter (one eye on the road and one in the bush).
Top moments :
- cheetah and babies feasting on gazelle
- hippo pool
- lions in the grass
- huge elephant walking in front of the car
- hippo coming late at night around our tent to eat grass
We had the lodge experience, which was worth it, but do keep in mind that much of your time will not be in the room or hotel facilities.
We made new friends from other countries and were sad when it all ended.
As for the service provided by the safari operator we have only good things to say about them. Fast at responding to queries or in case of problems or in need of advice for the trip (money, clothes etc). They even respond late at night to messages. They seem very professional.
Asante sana to all the team (especially Safina).

Excellent Safari Experience
From our first communication with Phinorah to our final few moments with Jonathan, our guide/driver, our seven day safari was excellent. Our accommodations at the four locations where we stopped were exceptional. The game drives in each park provided many opportunities for seeing many animals of every kind.

Unforgettable honeymoon
We have just returned home after the most amazing honeymoon. We did a 7 night luxury safari with African Big Cats and it was everything we dreamed of and more. From initial planning conversations to helping us with airline issues on departure, Emanuel and Naomi were extremely helpful for which we are so grateful!
We spent the week with our guide Lovoi and had such an unforgettable time with him. He shared his vast knowledge of the local culture and animals. He knew the best spots to go to and spotted the animals a mile off, and we were often away from the crowds which made our time so special. We saw all the big 5 which was a bonus. Our highlights were seeing a pride of lions (11!), the wildebeest migration and the many scenic lunch spots we stopped at, enjoying lunch together whilst up close to the animals!
The safari vehicle was comfortable, plenty of charging points and fridge always full of drinks. Even after long dusty rides, Lovoi would ensure the vehicle was clean the next day which was great and very much appreciated.
We could not fault the accommodation we stayed in, all luxurious, clean and lovely food and staff. It was nice to relax by the pools after a full day out. The pack up options were all lovely too.
We would go back in a heartbeat and have recommended African Big Cats to our family of friends.
