The best of Africa
Bring heavy coat for safaris, it gets cold at night and early morning and the open cab lets cutting wind come thru.

Wonderful
We did a three day Keurig private Safari with our guide Jerry. We had a fabulous time, the people, the scenery, the wildlife… we loved every second.

Spot on in every way
We used this company for a full week of exploration including Kruger Park, the panoramic route, chimp sanctuary and transportation to the airport for our flights home. They sent the same wonderful guide/driver for the whole week and he made every trip memorable and informative.

Amazing operator!
Our trip was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all our expectations. Every lodge we stayed in was amazing—comfortable, charming, and perfectly located. The human service throughout the trip was excellent, and the wildlife experiences were simply indescribable. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat was beyond anything we could have imagined.
From the very first contact, Susan provided impeccable service. She was always quick to respond, attentive to our needs, and made every effort to tailor the trip exactly the way we wanted. Everything went smoothly without a single issue, and we couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.
We highly recommend Discover Africa and will definitely plan future trips with them!

Unforgettable 15-Day Safari! Fantastic Guide!
Our three-generation family of six had an unforgettable 15-day safari experience thanks to Jon Paul, our dedicated safari guide at Serengeti Smile. Jon Paul was knowledgeable, punctual and professional, with a friendly, welcoming demeanor and willingness to answer our endless line of curious questions during the trip. He was a wealth of knowledge concerning wildlife hotspots, animal behavior, local customs and Tanzanian culture. He was experienced (25 years) and well connected with the safari community; he always knew exactly where to be in order to ensure first-class wildlife sightings for our family on any given day. He put our needs above all else and customized our daily game drives to suit our preferences in the moment. Every day out was successful, with highlights including spotting 6 cheetahs within one hour in Central Serengeti, watching a lion feed on a wildebeest in the midst of the great migration in the Western Serengeti, spotting two black rhinos in the Ngorongoro Crater, finding seven leopards, including a captivating close-up encounter for our family alone in Tarangire, and locating several tree-climbing lions at Lake Manyara. Jon Paul was very familiar with the lodges and logistics during our travels, coordinated our boxed lunches and kept our crew comfortable (including 2 kids) throughout the journey. Serengeti Smile enabled us to experience a customized itinerary enriched with numerous cultural experiences and add-ons, including meeting and engaging with the Maasai, Hadzabe and Datoga people, going on several walking safaris with park rangers, handling ancient fossils in the Olduvai Gorge, and partaking in a hot air balloon ‘safari from the sky.’ The variety of excellent lodges on our trip kept the evenings exciting and offered great sunset views; the food and evening entertainment were great every step of the way. Thank you to Serengeti Smile and Jon Paul for making this trip truly extraordinary and unforgettable for three generations of our family!

Professional and helpful
I did a five day safari. The safari at the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks was amazing! I chose to stay in a tent which I think was the best way to connect to the nature. I saw all the big fives and took many photos and videos. It was an experience that I never envisaged that would change my perspective of life but it did. I would like to come back next time to learn more about not only the nature and the animals but also the Maarsai culture and how to engage with them.

Exceptional service!
My husband and I had an unforgettable trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, expertly planned by Susan based on our preferences. The accommodations she selected in Cape Town, Zimbabwe, and Botswana were among the best we've experienced, with Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge being a standout highlight—truly out of this world. The safaris in Chobe National Park and Kruger National Park were absolutely incredible.
Susan was always available, approachable, and flexible, and she thoroughly prepared us for the journey. We are extremely satisfied with the trip and look forward to booking with her again soon.

Excellent guides and schedules
We just returned from two weeks of game drives, first week in Uganda,
second in Rwanda . We selected Mandrill African Safaris to organize
everything and it was an extraordinary experience. Great communication
prior to the trip-and I had tons of questions, to check-ins during the
trip making sure everything was going well. The accommodations they
arranged were amazing, and all of the guides were stellar. We got our
Big Five and plenty more. Mandrill arranged all of flights within the
countries, and the flights between the two, as well.
In Rwanda we enjoyed game drives in the Akagera national park,. In
Uganda we searched The Queen Elizabeth National park, Murchision Falls
and Kidepo Valley and Lake Mburo park.
Our guides did an incredible job locating the animals and with their
knowledge of their behaviors, we saw several many big cats!!
It truly was beyond our expectations!
If seeing lots of wild animals is on your bucket list, book with
Mandrill African Safaris Safaris.
