Some journeys don’t just take you across a country; they open something within you. Our safari with Tanzanian Platinumz Safaris was one of those rare experiences, shaped with devotion by Benjamin and brought to life with soul by Jimmy.
From the very first message, Benjamin cared for us as though we were old friends arriving home. His communication was constant and warm, his organisation flawless. He shaped an itinerary that flowed like a story:
Day 1 Arusha, Day 2 Tarangire, Day 3 Central Serengeti, Day 4 North Serengeti, Day 5 Mara River, Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater, Day 7 Lake Manyara.
Every place felt chosen with intention. Every lodge felt prepared for us. Even our food preferences were handled with a tenderness that made the whole journey feel personal.
And then came Jimmy — the quiet heartbeat of our safari.
Jimmy didn’t just guide us; he carried us gently into the rhythm of Tanzania. He moved through the land as though it spoke to him. Every sunrise seemed to meet him first. Every distant roar meant something only he could interpret. He watched over us with a calm strength, always making sure we were comfortable, never too hot, never too tired, never without wonder. With Jimmy, every sighting felt like a gift placed carefully in our hands.
We saw the Big Five and more, each encounter rising above the last. But one moment will stay with us forever. In the heart of the Serengeti, Jimmy chose a quiet acacia tree for our lunch. The plains stretched out in warm silence, the kind that feels alive. As we sat beneath the branches, a lioness emerged from the golden grass. She moved with a softness that didn’t disturb the stillness. She approached the tree, paused, and then — in a moment that felt suspended in time — she climbed it.
She climbed the very tree we were resting under.
For a few breathless minutes, she stayed there with us. No fear. No urgency. Just presence. It felt as though the Serengeti had opened its heart and allowed us inside. And Jimmy stood nearby, steady and protective, giving us the courage to absorb a moment most people only dream of.
This safari was more than a trip. It was a reminder of how beautiful the world can be when people who truly love it guide you through it. Benjamin shaped our journey with care. Jimmy filled it with soul.
We will carry these memories for the rest of our lives.

A wonderful safari experience with amazing wildlife
We had a really lovely safari experience and came back with some amazing memories.
We were very lucky with the wildlife and saw a huge number of animals throughout the trip, which made the experience even more special. The itinerary was varied and allowed us to discover different landscapes and parks.
The mid-range hotels were all very comfortable, and we were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals, which were consistently very good.
Paul was very friendly and helpful in all our exchanges before the trip. He was flexible, understanding and really tried to accommodate our requests when organising the itinerary.
Our driver, Joseph, was also very friendly and attentive to our requests throughout the safari.
The only small disappointment concerned the final day and a visit we had specifically requested to add to the itinerary. This was not part of the original safari programme, and unfortunately it did not work out as expected. For any unusual or very specific requests like this, we would simply recommend discussing the practical details and feasibility carefully with Paul in advance.
Overall, we had a very positive experience, saw an incredible amount of wildlife and really enjoyed our safari.

A fantastic experience
We had a fantastic experience with Gerald: he has a long and deep knowledge of the safari world and of the parks we visited. He was always willing to satisfy our requests and always very nice and has a great experience and ability to provide insights and information on all the different types of animals.

Dreams come true
The tour is fantastic and the company is reliable and super well-organized. we stayed in comfy 'glampings', super good food, accommodations and shower. Our drivers Bonny and Laswai were amazing, kind and extremely good at spotting wildlife. We got it all: more than 20 lions along the days, rhinos, cheetas, leopard, zillions of zebras, hippos, antelopes, elephants and giraffes! I was living a dream! Just go for it!

The trip of a lifetime!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! The trip of a lifetime!
Our 8-day safari with Safaris Africa United exceeded every expectation. We explored Tarangire, Central and Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, and were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five and so much more.
What truly made this safari unforgettable was our amazing driver-guide, Laurian. His ability to spot wildlife was incredible, but even more impressive was his knowledge of animal behavior and knowing when to wait and let nature surprise us.
Thanks to his patience and experience, we witnessed extraordinary moments: the birth of a baby zebra, a lion and lioness mating, predators with their prey, elephant families with their babies, a leopard in a tree, cheetahs and countless other unforgettable wildlife encounters. At times, it felt like we were inside a wildlife documentary!
We love photography, and Laurian never rushed us. He always tried to position the vehicle perfectly and gave us all the time we needed. He also personalized our days according to what we wanted to see and experience. It never felt like we were simply following a tour — it truly felt like our safari, designed for us.
Most importantly, we felt completely safe with Laurian from beginning to end. He is an excellent, calm and careful driver, and we trusted him completely.
By the end of our eight days together, it didn’t feel like we were saying goodbye to our driver-guide… we were saying goodbye to a friend.
We cannot recommend Safaris Africa United — and especially Laurian — highly enough.
