Trip of a Lifetime
5/5

We have just returned from our 5 day trip to The Serengeti which we followed with a few days in Zanzibar.
We had a few ideas of what we wanted to do and what to expect from our Safari…But nothing prepared us for the most wonderful experience we had.
We were introduced to Massawe Adventures through our Travel Agent and right from the start, Idda was so helpful and professional…anticipating our needs even before we did.
Idda provided us with so much useful information before our trip, and even arranged our entry Visa for us.
When we arrived in Kilimanjaro we were met by our Guide Julius who took us for breakfast and a shower before we started towards Serengeti. As we had a private Safari, Julius made it clear that the trip was about us, and what we wanted, although we were more than happy to take his recommendations. He was constantly looking and very quick to point out animals, birds and interesting sights to our untrained eyes.
Each night we would discuss the plans for the next day, but were happy to adapt these depending on sightings to take us in a different direction. On our first full day Julius found an adult male lion resting under a tree right on the track in front of us less than a metre away! Similarly…he found a Lioness feeding her two cubs on a flat rock. Again, it was just us…a moment we will never forget. Julius’s passion for what he does and the animals he sees is inspiring. He taught us that taking time to wait is so important. Pole Pole! A safari should not be a box ticking exercise, but an honour to spend time with the amazing animals you do see.
My own personal wish was to see a family of elephants and I was not disappointed! Julius found us several groups, some of which just walked past our vehicle. I was impressed that as long as the drivers respect the animals, they will come close.
Our accommodation was a complete surprise. It was 5 star luxury and the care we received was outstanding. All of the staff were so friendly and fun, particularly Rebecca who decorated our lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was amazing, no mean feat considering the challenges of being in the middle of the Serengeti. We were very sad to leave.
Thank you so much Idda and Julius for giving us such a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Bucket list experience
5/5

I was planning a last minute trip and had all but given up on being able to see mountain gorillas while I was working in Kigali, but Peter and Big Apes Africa came through and made my dream a reality. My trip included golden monkeys in Volcanoes NP, mountain gorillas in Bwindi NP, and relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi. Peter handled everything very professionally and I was happy to have the logistics in his hands. The hotels that were chosen were all excellent, much better than I had been expecting. As a solo traveler, I also felt the trip was great value for money. Peter had great conversation on the car rides and I learned a lot from him. Overall, I would highly recommend Big Apes Africa.

Informative and knowledgeable tour operator
5/5

Silverbird Tours was recommended to us by a Rwandan colleague. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, thorough and extremely patient as we were traveling with a toddler. The drive and sunset boat ride exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Silverbird Tours.

Botswana-Zimbabwe game trail ZB16
What an awesome 16 day adventure I had with Marcus as our guide and Succeed as our driver. There were only 6 tourists and we all got on so well. The food was outstanding, the wild life mind blowing and the locations exceptional. There were highlights in each destination but the Sunset cruise on the Chobe river was my personal favourite. Well done Sunways on making my dream come true.

Incredible wildlife experience with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guide
5/5

We had the most amazing experience during our private safari with Migration Venture and our guide Bonny. He was a fantastic driver, and very friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to his keen eye and expertise, we saw the big 5 and many other animals. The itinerary was perfectly planned, allowing us to explore Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Mto wa Mbu over the course of 5 days. There was also enough flexibility for small additions or adjustments, making the experience even more personalised and enjoyable. The lodges were also of great quality and offered good food (also plenty of vegetarian options)! In short, I would highly recommend going on safari with Migration Venture Africa and Bonny!

Perfect organization!
5/5

We did 12 days of safari with guide/driver and cook, camping, in a private 4x4 for our couple. We were delighted with the team who accompanied us (Chabani and Erick) who took great care of us (the meals were exceptional!). The organization of Chalema Safaris was well established. We saw a lot of animals, beautiful landscapes and the cultural stops were very interesting (Maasai villages, banana plantations, Tanzanite and even craft shops). The only downside will be the dilapidated sanitary facilities in the camps, the price of which is disproportionate in relation to the non-existent services (lack of water, lack of lighting, doors that never close, nothing to put or hang anything on, etc.) . Fortunately, the discomfort was offset by the presence of wild animals even in the campsites since they are not fenced.

13 days Kenya and Tanzania Safari
5/5

Four of us booked a safari through Kenya & Tanzania with Inspired Feet Safaris. Fiona is a very dedicated organizer and was available at any time during our trip if we had any questions.

We were also very happy with our drivers. In Kenya we traveled with Antony, who was not only really nice & helpful and found the best places to see the animals up close, but also always had a quick solution for every problem we encountered.

In Tanzania we had a more laid-back driver in Omar, who was always able to tell us a lot about animals, nature and culture and had an answer to every question we had.

We were completely satisfied, saw and experienced an incredible amount and can recommend Inspired Feet Safaris to anyone who is planning to go on a safari in Kenya (& Tanzania).

However, especially as a European you should be aware in advance that you are traveling to a country with significantly lower living standards. We certainly stayed in much better accommodation than many locals live there. Nevertheless, you have to make some compromises compared to the luxurious life we are used to in this country.
