By far the best tour operator to do the Serengeti and surrounding national parks on a budget
5/5

I chose the 5-day safari option on a budget - it was the cheapest 5-day safari to Serengeti and surroundings I could find. The itinerary started with one day in the Tarangire NP, two days Serengeti, one day Ngroro Ngroro Crater and finally one day Lake Manyara.

It was a group-join safari, meaning that there were other people in the jeep which I did not know. We were 6 people in total, and there was a fridge in the jeep with coke, beer and water. All of us did the same game drives, but all other passengers had paid more than me. I paid USD 890 for accommodation in tents for two of the nights, the other two nights were in a pretty decent lodge (no ac, but other than that very nice). The other people in the jeep paid 1500 USD each, or more. They were then in fancier lodges for the nights where I stayed in a tent. The game drives were EXACTLY the same for the people who paid twice what I paid and me.

Ok, showers were cold in the tent camps. But hey, it is a budget option! I did not mind. Food was alright, and I did not feel that I was missing out on anything in my tents. In the tent camps you can meet cool other travellers that are also travelling at a budget, and you can enjoy the most beautiful sunrise in the serengeti.

At this point I also would like to praise my dear tour operator Kilipath, and especially their service worker Happy who helped me organise the whole thing. She picked me up, and helped me to organise a bus to Dar-Es-Salaam on the last day (she went to the booking office together with me). I am 100 % assured that if there had been any other problems, Happy would help me. She also checked in about daily to hear if everything is alright.

I am sure that Happy / Kilipath African safaris also can help you organise staying in more fancy lodges instead of tents if you prefer that. But of course it will cost more ;)

Perfect 5 day safary
5/5

We loved our experience with Ndutu Green Explorers.
The booking proces went through email comunication with Yusuph. He made a great itinerary for us, listening to our wishes. He was always available for questions. Everything was smooth with the paying proces also. While paying for the balance in Arusha we met Tom ,who was also friendly and had good advices. All the accomodations and food were great, both in lodges and picnics.
But the best of all was our guide Emmanuel. He made our safary amazing. He was so knowledgable, teached us a lot about animals, Tanzania and even some swahili 😊 He is a great driver and we felt very safe with him. We saw a huge amount of animals in every park. He knew exactly where and what to look for. In Serengeti especialy, it is a vast space and he knew it so well. He is such a positive person and we become friends. If we could return for another safary we would always choose Emma.

My experience with Go Volunteer Africa in Uganda was so incredible
5/5

My volunteer experience in Uganda, Mukono through Go Volunteer Africa was truly one of the most meaningful and unforgettable experiences of my life. From the very beginning, everything was well organized, supportive, and deeply authentic.

Mukono is a beautiful place peaceful, welcoming, and full of life. Being part of the local community allowed me to experience Uganda beyond tourism. The people were kind, open-hearted, and always willing to share their culture, stories, and smiles.

My hosts, Isaac and Sandra, were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make me feel safe, comfortable, and at home from day one. Their hospitality was genuine, warm, and full of care. They were always available to guide, support, and encourage me, not just as a volunteer, but as part of their family. Thanks to them, I quickly adjusted to life in Mukono and truly felt like I belonged.

The volunteer work itself was impactful and fulfilling. It was inspiring to see how even small efforts can make a real difference in the community. I learned so much about Ugandan culture, resilience, community values, and myself. This experience changed my perspective and left me with memories and friendships I will treasure forever.

I highly recommend Go Volunteer Africa to anyone looking for a meaningful, well-supported, and life-changing volunteer experience. And if you get the chance to stay with Isaac and Sandra, consider yourself very lucky, you will be in the best hands.
This was not just volunteering; it was a journey of growth, connection, and purpose.

Uganda is a beautiful country in all aspects - the people, the landscape, and the rich culture all made my time there the most amazing experience. There are many diverse volunteer projects with Go Volunteer Africa scattered across the country from Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Masaka etc. My volunteering experience in Mukono was exceptional! The opportunity to get to know and work with the others on the team was a pleasure.

I was more than satisfied with all aspects of my time there. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and that goal was definitely met!
Thank you Go Volunteer Africa and thank you team Uganda for the wonderful experience.

Excellent safari experience with Gosheni Safaris Africa! The trip was exceptionally well-organized from start to finish. Our driver was outstanding—incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and terrain, and he made every effort to ensure we had the best chances of spotting all the animals we were hoping to see. The entire journey was comfortable, informative, and truly memorable. Thanks for Edward, Hassan, Bariki, Calvin. Thank you for a wonderful adventure!

Wonderful experience with Gordon, who treated us like family and gave his all
5/5

We are more than happy with the tour, especially with Gordon as our guide. It felt like we were traveling with an uncle who truly put all his effort into giving us the best possible experience. We also loved the accommodations and the food, and the overall planning was excellent. We had several amazing game drives, and really enjoyed the combination of Tsavo and Amboseli, which offered a great variety of landscapes and wildlife. We tried to think of possible improvements, but honestly couldn’t come up with any. We would definitely recommend this tour to friends.

An unforgettable Safari experience
5/5

We had an unforgettable safari experience, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide, Junior. From start to finish, he was kind, patient, and exceptionally knowledgeable. As a Masai man, Junior took us on unique, hidden excursions that we never would have found on our own—experiences that made the trip feel deeply authentic and truly special. His professionalism was unmatched, and he always made us feel safe, informed, and genuinely cared for.

Because of Junior, I would highly recommend Balu without hesitation. He is a rare guide who goes above and beyond to create a meaningful and memorable experience.

A special mention as well to Morris, the owner, who was equally impressive—extremely professional, responsive, and quick to answer any questions we had. The entire operation felt seamless and well-run.

Serengeti Silence (Emmy) was very helpfull, provided all needed informations, excellent provider
5/5

An Unforgettable Safari Experience with Serengeti Silence
We booked our Tanzania safari with Serengeti Silence in October 2025 for a January 2026 trip, and it exceeded all our expectations.
From the start, Emmy made the entire planning process seamless. She communicated with us primarily via WhatsApp and was incredibly flexible with our requests. We initially planned to travel with 3-4 people but ended up going as a couple. We also requested more budget-friendly accommodations, and Emmy accommodated every change without any issues. The final itinerary was beautifully presented as an online program with all necessary details clearly outlined.
Our experience began perfectly—we were picked up at the airport as promised, even though we arrived in the middle of the night. After resting at a lovely lodge in Arusha, we met our tour guide Amini, who turned out to be absolutely exceptional. His eagle eye spotted the Big Five for us, and incredibly, we even saw rare cheetahs! These were truly unforgettable moments.
The Serengeti was the highlight of our trip. We stayed at a tented camp where the staff welcomed us with such warmth and even sang for us several times—it brought tears to our eyes.
Even after the safari, Emmy’s service continued. We had accidentally left our Birkenstock sandals in Arusha, and she arranged for us to collect them at the airport before our departure.
Tanzania will hold a special place in our hearts. We long to see the Serengeti again and would be delighted to meet Amini once more. We wholeheartedly recommend Serengeti Silence for an authentic, well-organized safari experience.
