I found myself suddenly with an extra day on a weekend so asked Gofan to put together a safari package for me very quickly. They were responsive and thoughtful, asking me questions to gage my interests, budgets and special needs (especially with food!). They selected an excellent new camp, Mara Treetops, where I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in their uber luxury tents. The staff were very attentive and the service was great. Richard, the chef at Mara Treetops, was superb. My urban and safari drivers/guides were also top notch. I felt I got very good value for my three nights/four day adventure. I would definitely book with them again.

World-class Tour Operator
My first tour last November to the Eastern Transvaal and Kruger National Park with Hennie and Andy made it abundantly clear that this would become my future way of touring from hometown Knysna.
Knowing what excellent service, planning, travel and accommodation would be ahead, the start of the Namaqualand Flowers, Wine and Stargazing trip once again confirmed an excellent mix of participants, capable and safe drivers Hennie and Andy as well as impeccable organisation of time, the route, visits to National Parks, reliability of vehicles and choice of night stops.
The flowers and the weather were at their best and with the local guide Nicky from Springbok, we learned a lot about this colourful miracle of nature. The wine bottling at Excelsior Winery was a novel experience and the stargazing in Sutherland - though at freezing temperatures - will be unforgettable.
I am looking forward to my next journey with Hennie and company.

My wife and I booked this trip 2 weeks before our departure. We visited Kenya and did a safari trip with Kenya safaris holiday (current name is - journeysbeyondafrica)
Simon is the tour operator and I’ve been talking to him daily for 2 weeks. He is extremely accommodating and would do all the research that we want and get back to me. He is very professional and extremely helpful. After booking everything we changed our hotels/itinerary etc but he never said no to anything and accommodated all our requests
Lastly, our guide Peter was amazing. He was with us for all 7 days and he is just amazing. He is patient, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. We spotted everything and Peter played a huge part in it. Peter has been doing this for over 10 years and he is very experienced with everything. He even knows the hotel staff and their drivers which makes it easy to communicate when you are on a game drive if they spot something else. We throughly enjoyed with Peter. We got more than our expectations from him and Simon.
If you are doing a long driving safari and jumping place to place within Kenya then look no further and book with Simon and ask for PETER!!

This was a great choice and an amazing experience. I chose a 7-day safari with Baboon Budget Safaris and enjoyed every second. Our guide Joseph was completely dedicated to providing the best of every national park and every place we visited. He also took care of our safety by showing us local life. During the tour he gave us enough private space to enjoy, and in the meantime, he gave us the best experience of Kenya. I saw so many animals and the safari was highlight of my trip around Kenya. Everything was well planned and it was as defined at the beginning of the tour. I will highly recommend them to all my friends. Also, I will come back and choose the Baboon Budget Safaris again for the other parts of Kenia. I have new friends in Kenya: Baboon Budget Safaris and Joseph!!!

Vervet customized our visit to see all the sights we wanted and added other experiences to make Africa feel as welcoming as coming home. We always had wonderful accommodations, food, transportation and knowledgeable guides. The challenges of traveling during COVID testing requirements were handled efficiently- no small feat. Axis Safari First Class
Our experience with Axis Safari was first class.
Most people book their safaris well in advance with months of planning. We decided to plan ours in 2 weeks and were lucky to find Axis Safari. The advice provided by Richard and Lennox was extremely helpful in getting our bookings done while there was still availability. The process was simple and they were quick to answer questions we had. Other tour companies were slow to respond, but Axis was very fast, courteous and professional.
The safari experience was great. Moses, our driver did a fantastic job of making sure that we had the greatest experience. We were planning on doing mostly morning and afternoon drives, but Moses knew that we could see more of the animals if we changed to full day game drives. Because of this we saw more diversity in animals, including Leopards and Rhinos, which are hard to spot.
On our first day, we were scheduled to do a morning/afternoon game drive, but our flight to the Mara was cancelled meaning we arrived at noon. Moses still took us on two game drives to ensure that we didn't miss out due to our flight situation.
On the second day, we had seen everything except a Rhino and we were heading back to the river to try to see a crossing. He got a call on the radio of a Rhino spotting. He turned his car around and drove about 25 minutes in the opposite direction to give us the opportunity to see the Rhino (which we did). At that point, we had been out all day and ready to come home. However, Moses was also determined for us to see a river crossing with Wildebeests. So, he took us to the river crossing (well after the time we could have returned) and after a 30-minute wait for the Wildebeests, we were able to see the crossing.
These are just two examples of Moses going above and beyond to ensure that we saw the animals that we wanted to see, but also had the best possible experience on our trip. Besides that, Moses was great to hang out with. He was always friendly and provided really good information for everything we saw and experienced.
On our way back to the airport (and after our whole safari adventure had ended), we received a call from Lennox asking us about our trip and his service. This showed us that he cared about the quality of the service he provided as well as our overall happiness and experiences.
I cannot say enough good things about Axis Africa Expedition and Safaris. Highly recommend them.
