Life-changing adventure, getting face to face with gorillas and exploring the gorgeous countryside
Just had the tour of a lifetime with Peter, our wonderful guide, and three of my friends. Cannot recommend Big Apes enough! Overall, the trip was a fantastic value and we got face to face with incredible wildlife including gorillas, golden monkeys, zebras, and impala. We also stayed at some very unique eco-lodges and tried some delicious local foods! Another highlight was just driving through the gorgeous Rwandan and Ugandan country-side.
From my first contact with Peter on Safari Bookings, he was very responsive and worked with us to tailor the trip itinerary. We had a super convenient and smooth pick-up from the airport and comfortable lodgings each night with the basic amenities (Wi-Fi, hot water, mosquito nets, comfortable beds). The restaurants we went to were also great and had options for local and Western cuisine. Some bonus experiences we had included trying some exotic fruits, swimming in a gorgeous lake, and visiting some local markets. Peter himself is also a highly knowledgeable guide who taught us a lot about the history and ecology of each country.

Responsive!
My spouse and I just finished an incredible 9-day journey through Tanzania to see the Great Migration and it was all thanks to Toto Africa and its owner, Chris Japeth. We shopped nearly half a dozen tour operators and this was the best value for our itinerary. We booked a 5-day safari and beach holiday opting for the mid range package (Note: We booked the all-inclusive resort in Zanzibar separately as that saved us a couple hundred dollars). During our initial emails with Chris, we were captured by not only his responsiveness but also his flexibility in crafting a custom Safari schedule to fit our unique travel needs - 9 days is super short for this type of trip. Whenever we had a request the answer was always “yes”. Chris put up with dozens of our emails/WhatsApp messages and responded quickly and made us feel at ease. He even took the time to message us early in the mornings to make sure we didn’t miss our flights. What a guy! Toto arranged everything from our tasty meals on the safari, beautiful accommodations, and last but not least, airport pickups and drop offs. Special shout-out to our Safari guide Ben with over 20 YEARS of experience who went above and beyond to make sure we saw the as many incredible animals as possible while patiently answering our endless questions about nature and the culture in this incredible country. When we were tired and wanted to give up, Ben kept pushing us to keep looking and it paid off. We saw a Leopard, Cheetah, nearly a dozen lions, and all the grazing animals as well. Most importantly, we were one of only 15-20 vehicles to see the largest wildebeest crossing the entire day in Northern Serengeti and this was all because of Ben. Ben was also very respectful of the animals and would keep appropriate distance while other younger and more inexperience drivers would get too close to the animals. It was evident the other Safari guides respect him a great deal. All in all everything was great and if we could do the trip again, we would make only a couple of changes. For example, we would break up our drive from Northern Serengeti to Arusha/Moshi into 2 days because it’s a very long 11 hour drive otherwise. I would spend extra time in the central Serengeti and skip Tarangire National Park since while beautiful, it has similar animals as the Serengeti and is almost 3 hours away from the Southern entrance to Serengeti National Park. Also, bring a mask and saline nasal spray since there’s lots of dust on the drive and you want to be able to keep the windows of the land cruiser open to keep cool. Mosquitos were surprisingly not a big issue on the Safari but at the resort in Zanzibar they came out in swarms. I wish someone had told us this stuff. Have a great journey with Toto Africa and tell them hi for us!

My group of 5 people were glad to have Kuda!
Our hotel called this company. They sent out Kuda Ziwoni and we were pleased to have him as our guide to Victoria Falls. He had sense of humor and easy going fella. He impressed us with his knowledge about the falls and the area. He was able to get us into the national park without having to waiting in a long line. We were comfortable with him and asked him many questions. He spoke English very well. Thank you Kuda!

An Unforgettable Adventure with Karibu Safaris!
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience with Karibu Safaris, and I am still in awe of the incredible journey they provided. From start to finish, this company exceeded my expectations in every way possible.
Booking the safari was a breeze, thanks to their friendly and knowledgeable staff who guided me through the process and helped tailor the trip to my preferences. The level of professionalism and attention to detail was evident from the very beginning, giving me confidence that I was in capable hands.
Our safari guide, John, was an absolute gem. His expertise in the local wildlife and ecosystems was truly impressive, and his passion for conservation shone through in every story he shared. His keen eye ensured that we didn't miss a single animal sighting, from the majestic elephants to the elusive big cats. He went above and beyond to make sure our group had the best possible experience, always taking the time to answer questions and provide insights that deepened our appreciation for the incredible wildlife around us.

If I do another Safari Tour I would chose Moran Discoveries again
I went with 6 other friends to Kenya and we spent 5 days in Kenya. The first 3 days we did the lake Navaisha and Masai Mara Safari before we headed to the Nairobi city to relax.
while at lake Navaisha and Masai Mara Safari , Moses and Andrew literally took us by hand and explained in details the entire time. Broke down the details of the activities and ensure we had very good local food and a good time. We did also walk down to the local Masai mara village to meet the locals and we got to the boder line mara river that divides the Serenghetti of Tanzania and then the Masai Mara of Kenya.
It was a trip I will never forget and expose us to that part of the world. I will now be visiting Kenya more often and I can say I've made good friends and acquintance in Moses. Thank you Moran Discoveries & Tours

She was communicative, helpful, available, creative, and overall spectaular!
Pembury Tours was spectacular to work with. We had an unforgettable trip-- all details were arranged with care. Anya, our representative, worked with us to build a trip that highlighted the best of southern Africa. She gave excellent advice about where to spend our time and helped us meet our budget, without sacrificing quality. We made a few edits to the trip during the planning process and Anya made sure all of these decisions were made carefully. She was very communicative throughout the process.
All of our lodging was comfortable with warm, helpful staff, and the food at every location was exceptional (though we also had plenty of fantastic restaurant experiences). We had seamless air/driving transfers between destinations as well. Our assigned tour guides for relevant parts of the trip were friendly and knowledgeable and elevated the whole experience. And in a seemingly infinite pool of safari lodges/experiences, it's hard to imagine we could've been better situated.
Finally, though we rarely needed to contact Anya, she was seemingly always available for any questions or issues that came up while we were traveling.
I cannot recommend Pembury highly enough. When we visit again, there is no question we will be using their services.

Amazing 10-Day Safari!
We are SO happy we entrusted this once-in-a-lifetime experience to Mazingira Safaris. After communicating with 5 different tour companies we went with Mazingira. On top of being the most cost-effective, they checked all of the boxes... In the end, we turned all facets of the Safari planning to them and just showed up in Tanzania ready for adventure.
Their equipment was great the guides were SUPER knowledgeable. They knew the areas very well and taught us so much about the animals, history, and culture of Tanzania. I recently got into birding and over the course of 10 days, Lucas (our guide) helped me identify more than 100 new species.
They went above and beyond when my daughter left her prized stuffed animal at a lodge. They contacted the lodge and gave it to a pilot of one of the bush flights. It made it to Arusha before we even got there. Thank you for making this a trip we will never forget!
We are a family of 5 from Utah. At the time of our Safari, our kids were 12, 9, and 7. But we traveled with a larger (extended family group of 21) so this was a big group which is extra difficult to plan for.

One in a lifetime ?!
We have been dreaming of a safari in Tanzania for years. We have already done Kenya and South Africa, so we had great expectations, and guess what, they have all been fullfilled!
We enjoyed every moment of the safari; the scenery, the wildlife, real life Tanzania driving from one park to another, both our lodges as the tentcamps, ...
We couldn't imagine a better guide (Thank you, Amos!).
We were lucky enough to experience 'The big move' and to observe 'The big five' (one through binoculars). We covered more than 1,000km and visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Park.
As an extra day trip we chose 'Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour & Kilkuletwa Hotsprings Day Tour'; we would also recommend this trip. Just make sure you wear the right shoes as the path can be slippery.
All communication through 360safari went smoothly & correct (Thank you, Pedro).
They even picked up our suitcases at the airport, which arrived a few days later.
If we could, we would go back tomorrow!

Informative website, Megan was friendly and very helpful, great deal
Using Discover Africa was a great decision. Their website had plenty of details and pictures to explain and show what they were offering. The various safaris listed had prices listed though they were from the previous year but it did give me a ball park figure that allowed me to make a more informed decision. Also, when I finally did contact them about the trip, I got a timely reply and was set up to speak with Megan who would arrange the trip. She was very informative and listened to my requests regarding the trip (travel style, animals I wished to see). Fortunately, I was flexible with my dates and Megan was very good at coordinating my final date choice. Megan was very good at keeping me updated on my trip status and answered any questions I had before the trip (most communication was through email).
Considering what the final price was, in the end I felt it was an excellent deal. All staff (driver-guide, lodge staff) were extremely friendly and helpful. Our guide was knowledgeable and experienced but fun as well. Being a single traveler was not a problem, and in the end, it worked out perfectly with the other 5 members of my group. And turns out the other 5 members were friendly, intelligent and fun as well, we got along very well.
FYI: I chose the 10 day safari going through Tanzania and Kenya

Unforgettable and unique!
I booked a 9 day Custom Tour Uganda in July with my husband and 4 children, including gorilla and chimpanzee trekking.
It was our first visit to East Africa and in Home to Africa I found a reliable and trustworthy agency that was very competent and helpful in all aspects. From the first email until the last day of our safari tour, everything was perfectly planned and organized.
The trip was tailored to our needs and desires, and a varied program was proposed to us that suited all family participants.
We chose simple accommodations and we were not disappointed: all lodges and bush camps were very clean, had friendly staff and excellent food. They provided good WLAN in the reception area and the showers worked perfectly.
We are totally impressed by the beautiful nature and the diverse wildlife. Now we understand why Uganda is called "The pearl of Africa". We never thought that we would be able to experience all the animals so close.
Thanks to Moses, our drivingguide, we could experience unforgettable moments and he made sure we saw the big 5 and much more.... Moses is a very experienced, respectful driver. He has a good knowledge of his country and the animals and is extremely patient. He always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Looking back I can say:
-Travelling is easier than expected and completely uncomplicated- even with children
-there is enough water to buy everywhere
-the fruits and vegetables along the streets are wonderful
-it is recommended to try typical food of the country
-You can change the local currency at the ATMs without any problems and you don't have to take dollars or euros with you.
-face masks are obligatory for the gorilla trek and gloves for the rainforest are highly recommended
-you can buy everything if your luggage does not arrive or got. lost, and the driving guides know where...
-Home to Africa is absolutely a good choice and will make your vacation unforgettable!!!
