reliable and accomodating
5/5

We have been on a three day (2 nights) safari with Morningstar Tours to Tsavo West and Amboseli. When looking for possible options for a particular route they had the best price for value, even with the additional fees for staying within the sanctuary at SaltLick. Our guide was Kennedy for the three days and though we had to cover quite long drives, he made sure that we are comfortable all through. The communication form the inquiry all through the trip and even after finishing the tour was with fast responses through the office and big thanks to Dennis for that as well. Kennedy has packed in as much into those three days as possible, also given that bí the end of day two we have been a little overfilled with the zebras and the dust but he listened to us and our asks and accommodated every wish we might have had on the way. Overall it was a great experience and would gladly use Morningstar tours in the future as well if the possibility arises.

Review of Sababu Three Leg Tanzania Trip
5/5

Review for Sababu

My wife and I chose Sababu as the operator for our honeymoon vacation, which consisted of a (successful) trek up Kilimanjaro, a seven day safari, and a handful of days across Zanzibar.

We are immensely glad to have chosen Sababu, and are grateful for making our honeymoon so unforgettable.

Denise helped us plan the itinerary, and was thoroughly responsive, helpful and honest throughout the process.

In planning our trip, we recognized that Sababu's prices were a little higher than other 'competitively priced' companies, for a similar itinerary.

However, as we embarked on our trip it became obvious that every penny was a penny well spent, as it went towards extremely professional, knowledgeable, experienced (and super friendly guides.. a special thanks to Nico, George and Titus)! This is especially important to maximize the safety and enjoyment of the kilimanjaro and safari portions - you need an experienced guide, under comfortable working conditions, to get the most out of these experiences. Who knew that spotting the Big Five (and much more) could seem so easy!

More importantly, we formed a friendship with all of the guides on their respective legs of the trip, and were so relieved to hear they sincerely enjoyed their work and respected Sababu as their contractor, and its working conditions. Unfortunately, when other companies compete for the lowest price, there can be the potential that guide salaries & working conditions suffer... and so will the client's experience.

Lastly, we appreciated Sababu / Denise's thoughtfulness in engaging Tanzanian owned businesses and initiatives (in terms of hotels, tent lodges, cultural excursions) wherever possible.

We've come out of our honeymoon trip not only with an unforgettable experience that was even more rich and eventful than we could have imagined, but we also leave with the sense that our money went to sustaining the tanzanian tourist industry, and the wonderful people within it, rather than lining the pockets of international or foreign-owned companies.

We will be recommending Sababu - and traveling to Tanzania more generally - to all of our family and friends.

Everlasting Memories with Everlasting Tanzania
5/5

As part of a larger honeymoon vacation in Tanzania, my wife and I did a 7 day trek up Kilimanjaro with Everlasting. Specifically, Everlasting was subcontracted by Sababu, the tour operator who coordinated our entire vacation (and which we also recommend).

Quite frankly, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was the most rewarding and unforgettable part of the trip, and we owe it to Everlasting, our guides - Nicolus and George - and the entire porter team, for making it as successful and amazing of an experience as it was.

I can go on for pages but I will just stick to these points:

- Everlasting took safety and comfort very seriously. We were genuinely shocked by the amount of porters and guides who accompanied us, but their professionalism, courtesy and friendliness made the journey all the more pleasant and comfortable. We had no doubt at any point that they would not do anything they could to help us summit. The fact that so many porters were contracted also suggests to us that Everlasting takes its contractors working conditions as seriously as the client's safety. Unfortunately, you can't take this for granted when dealing with other companies which try to offer the lowest prices.

- Not in a thousand years did we think we would have as varied, rich, and delicious meals as we did - for all seven days and in tents! We ate better here than we did at home!

- Nicolus and George were incredible guides - they were the best companions to have for this long journey, and we came out of it having formed a genuine friendship with both of them.

- We understand that Everlasting is a Tanzanian-owned company. This is important because you can know that your money, as a tourist, is supporting a local business, and not some larger foreign entity. In our opinion it is only fair that the profits generated from the beauty of Tanzania goes to Tanzanians.

For anyone considering a Kilimanjaro trek, you can't go wrong with Everlasting.

3 exceptional days in the Selous Game Reserve
5/5

We spent 3 exceptional days with Nestor, our driver, and Tatiana, our French guide. On the first day, we took possession of our lodge and took the boat trip. We could see lots of animals. On the second day, we did the safari in the park by car. It was magical ! We saw lots of animals including lions. Nestor is an incredible driver, who knows the park very well and the 4x4 allows access to places not easily accessible by other cars. And the third day was the walk with a bushman before taking the road to Dar Es Salaam. Nestor and Tatiana took us to the ferry where they helped us get tickets to Zanzibar. The lodges of the hotel are very nice, the staff is adorable and we eat very well there. This safari will remain unforgettable! Thank you, thank you and thank you again.

Amazing experience with the nicest guide Christopher!
5/5

We had an amazing experience with I Dream of Africa and Christopher on our 6-days safari tour through Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti (North) and Tarangire National Park. Right from the start we felt in good hands: Our questions in the planning phase were answered very well by Wilmke and we felt like we were given valuable advice so that we ended up with a program that corresponded to our wishes. Once we arrived to Arusha, the communication with Warren was easy and he was - just like the others - very reliable. And our guide Christopher was simply amazing: Very kind, knowledgeable, respectful towards nature and the animals and with eagle eyes. He always helped us to find the nicest spots, was very patient and never rushed us. Thanks to him we saw so many amazing animals, but also had fun and learned a lot. Food and lodges/tented camps were also very good, so that alltogether we can really say that we had an experience of a lifetime with a local tour operator, I Dream of Africa. Would recommend 100% and always book again. Thanks for everything! Greetings from Nicole and Clemens
