It was surreal being in the animals natural habitat

I absolutely would recommend Twin Adventures for a safari. Our guide Zinga was very friendly with great energy. I had a lot of questions about the life in Tanzania and he was more than happy to answer all my questions. Staying at the Africa Safari Selous camp was so much fun. The Maasai boys were so funny and so full of energy. The whole staff there was super friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean, spacious and it had a very authentic feel. The rooms are each their own individual huts and as soon as you step out of your room you are surrounded by monkeys. The food was very selective (so if you are a picky eater please bring snacks) but it was very tasty.
The bush walk with Simba was super funny and full of knowledge about the trees and he taught us the way of life of the bush people. I told him it was my birthday and after he taught us how to make fire, he sang me happy birthday while we skipped around the fire. It was a great way to start my actual birthday that morning.
The safari itself was so surreal. The selous is very green and dense. It feels very adventurous because you really have to search for the animals. I wished I saw more of an abundance of each animal but I knew that would be hard since its not an open field. But I'm happy that we got to see all the animals we wished to see.
Again doing the safari with Twin Adventures was really great and I recommend them to anyone.

Our visit in TANZANIA , I mean , MIKUMI Park Safari and Zanzibar Island was prepared with the outstanding support of MWANGAZA SAFARI.
All transfers, attraction entrances, ferry tickets to Zanzibar, hotels and tours suggestions were done in a very professional way by them. We did the 4 day, 3 night safari. Our guide was Ezekiel. He was amazing. I can’t say enough about him. Very knowledgeable and informative. We were able to see all the animals we came for ( lions, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, water buffaloes, black rhino etc). The weather was a bit off with rain during the Serengeti, but made a few good stories also! Food was actually the best on the safari than our remainder of the trip on Zanzibar. The team at the Kudo camp were the best... great bunch of guys and made the tent camp. Over all I would say that this tour company took great pride in what they delivered and would highly recommend. We did view other company guides while on our safari and on several occasions noted that they’re guides often seemed to be just going through the drill and not really engaging with their clients. As I said before, Ezekiel was engaged with us from the time we met him and we thoroughly loved the time we spent with. Paul, the manager was excellent to deal with and allowed us to stop over to buy some tanzanite on route to our accommodation.
Thanks again Roadside, you are the best.

A tourist will see the Mountain Gorilla only found in these parts of Africa, willspot large water mammals, several cats including the tree climbing lions and over 100 bird species. Mouth taking water falls etc. The people are quite friendly, food is good, weather good throughout the year in most parts of the country.

All safari was very excited, we could see a lot of different animals with nice landscapes and weather. We used the services of Lenchada Safaris and was really good, very punctual in the schedules, good transports and food als and finally comfortable places for rest.
I recommend the safari in this country and Lenchada Safaris for an excellent experience with a very reasonable cost.

We were family of 3 (10 yrs old kid) and traveled through Garden route via motorhome (camper).
We started planing the trip a bit late since we were traveling from 30/12-10/1/2020--high season. For that reason sometimes the accommodation (camp grounds) were either full or did not have much of a choice. Few times we had to go to a chalet or bungalow, which was in our case not necessary since we had a motorhome...Also I believe the company does not have much experience in organising a trip for motorhome, so at the end of the trip , we would do few things different as far as accommodation.
Everything else was really nice from Karoo area , Schotia Safari, Tsitskiama national park, etc.
Correspodence with Elmor and his collegues was good and they would answer email fast .
I would definately recommend this company for organising your trip, just make sure you start organising it far in advance for the high season!

Loved the experience!
5/5

This was the trip of a lifetime! I don’t know where to start!! The safari was absolutely amazing, we got to see the big 5 and many many more animals. Communicating with the agency was easy and Lydia was very accommodating even though our arrival to Nairobi was a bit rough. The only thing I would suggest to improve are some of the accommodations. The first lodge in Masai Mara was really nice, I would say kind of “glamping” on a budget, the hotel in Lake Nakuru was excellent and the staff was really nice, but the last campsite we stayed at in Amboseli was far from what we expected. No hot water, very limited food options and the cabin looked under construction. Lots of bugs and other larger animals.
But overall the experience was really great! Would really recommend!

Bait and Switch Scam - AVOID
1/5

We booked a 12 day Luxury+ tour through Kenya and Tanzania with Orongai. Despite Orongai confirming all the lodges were booked and paid for (included a number of the high end luxury AndBeyond lodges), itinerary we were promised was nothing like what we got. After 4 days of the 12 days, we cancelled the trip in the middle of the Masai Mara due to serious safety concerns and made our own arrangements to get home. We have never received a dollar of refund from Orongai despite multiple attempts.

Some key experiences:
- The vehicle provided was an old and unroadworthy 2WD van completely unfit for driving through national parks. Side door did not open from the inside, so you couldn’t get out without being let out from the outside. Driver was not a qualified safari guide, but a Nairobi taxi/van driver.

- We had our accommodations changed last minute or without notice from high-end luxury lodges to cheap tent accommodation. After this, we called ahead to the lodges booked according to our itinerary, and only 3 of the 9 remaining nights had been booked. Orongai was unable to be contacted and dismissed emails requesting the confirmation of bookings. We were stuck in the Masai Mara without knowing where we would be sleeping the following night.

- On the second day, we were forced to leave the lodge at 6am, missed the planned game drive, and had to sit in the unairconditioned van for 8 hours till we arrived at the next lodge. We had to use a pit in a village for a toilet break, which felt far from safe. When we arrived at the lodge, they had no record of our booking and hadn’t heard of Orongai. After an hour of the driver trying to contact Orongai to find out where we were staying, we then had to spend another 3 hours in the van to drive to a grossly inferior tent camp on the other side of the Masai Mara.

- Attempts to contact Orongai to confirm our lodgings and provide booking vouchers were futile. At this point, we discovered from reviews that others who had booked this trip had been held against their will, demanded more money be paid for fuel concessions, park fees etc, extorted, made to miss international flights and been in serious car accidents. Note: we couldn’t get out of the van from the inside!

- We realised at this stage that not only had we been completely scammed on the promised accommodation, activities included and itinerary in general, but we were not safe remaining on the tour, and informed our driver we would not be continuing. He became distressed and seemed petrified of what might happen to him if he did not deliver us to the Tanzanian border the following day. This only reinforced our fears, and we had another lodge come to pick us up as soon as possible.

We have been unable to get any refund from Orongai, and since the trip, I have experienced a large amount of serious fraudulent/scam activity on my email and personal accounts. This may be unrelated to Orongai, but seems more than coincidental.

I am sure if we continued the trip, this review would likely have far more sinister content. Glad we got out safely, despite out of pocket a very large some of money.

Bottom line: AVOID. Book your dream trip with a reputable travel agent.

Best African Safaris...
5/5

This was one of the best organized tours I have done from start to finish. Communication with the company was excellent and the guide replies were always prompt and to the point. Our guide was wonderful and had great knowledge of the local flora and fauna and the accommodations and food were better than expected. I highly recommends Freka African Holidays to everyone. Thank you so much guys for your help and support....
