Incredible experience thanks to Nkuringo Safaris!

We were in Uganda early Dec 2022 and had a fabulous time. Our trip was fully organized by a travel agency in France, Luxethika, and a travel agency in Uganda, Nkuringo Safaris with limited input from us except that we wanted to see the mountain gorillas. Once we landed we were immediately taken care of by the team at Nkuringo and we could not have dreamt of better. Our trip was tailored perfectly to our wishes with the perfect balance between adventure and rest. Uganda is a beautiful country and offers so much much than the gorillas that represent already an experience of a lifetime. We had completely underestimated the variety and richness of what the country has to offer in terms of fauna, flora, landscapes, services, gorgeous hotels and cuisine. Absolutely everyone we met during our trip was of utmost kindness and attention. We felt safe and cared for at anytime whether it be in hotels or during walks or safaris with rangers. But our experience wouldn’t have been the same without our guide at Nkuringo: Jack. Jack was truly amazing and more than a guide, he has become a friend. In addition to being the kindest and most knowledgeable person (it was impressive the amount of bird species he knew!), he always went the extra mile so we could have the best experience in every activity we would be doing (and even managed to find TVs so we could watch the worldcup!). As a result, we were able to be alone with my husband (and the rangers of course) with the gorillas. Throughout our trip we traveled through Uganda and Jack was always teaching us something specific about the area we were visiting. Uganda is a beautiful country indeed but Jack made our trip absolutely unforgettable. We now have to come back to visit the northern part of the country!

Fantastic experience with Gorillas in Uganda

Kajie Safaris EXCEEDED our expectations
We booked this trip 3 years ago, just before COVID, and finally realized our dream adventure a few weeks ago. Ronald was always available to answer questions via email or WhatsApp. Simon was our brilliant guide/driver. I cannot say enough or give enough praise to Kajie Safaris for exceeding our expectations. Simon seemed to have an extra set of eyes…one on the road ahead and one scanning for animals and birds. His knowledge of nature is vast. His love and pride of beautiful Uganda is quite evident. We fell in love with Uganda too. We got to meet Ronald as he was with some clients whose tour intersected ours a couple of times. Fantastic 5 Day / 4 Night Adventure!
We decided to go on a safari in Kenya in late November and inquired from the multitude of agencies online. Many wrote back, but Extra Miles was one of the only ones to give us a quote with an itinerary and pictures of the lodges that we would be staying at. We decided to pick the "Mid-Range" package. Ann was our point of contact and answered all our questions in a timely manner via email leading up to the safari in late December.
When we arrived in Nairobi, we stayed at a hotel the first night. James was our guide and he met us at 7 the following morning. Ann also greeted us to give us a briefing about our 5 day adventure. We received hats, blankets, and a couple of other gifts from the company before setting off to Masai Mara. The initial drive was long and bumpy towards the end, but the scenery was beautiful.
We ended up staying in Masai Mara for 2 nights, Lake Nakuru for 1 night, and Lake Naivasha for 1 night. All the lodges we stayed at were comfortable and the service was top notch. Each meal was provided buffet style with lots of different options to choose from. We enjoyed our stay at each of the lodges that we had stayed at.
James would greet us each day and take us on our game drives. He was very courteous and very helpful throughout the week. He was an expert driver at Masai Mara and we were able to see the "Big 5" and get loads of photos. At the end of the week, James dropped us off at our new hotel that we had booked.
All in all, it was a great experience and we definitely recommend Extra Miles for a safari!
