Barack knows the region and most of its local languages. Hes a true tour guide as he represents the warm hospitality of the region.

Totally worth it
Unforgettable, dreamlike safari!
The owner of the company is nice and helpful. He does everything he can to make the safari completely to your liking! Everything was incredibly well organized and especially our guide made this safari unforgettable. His knowledge of the animals and surrounding areas was truly amazing. We had an amazing time in this beautiful country!

Emmanuel is an excellent tour operator. We felt very comfortable the entire journey. He accomodated our last minute safari and it was nothing short of spectacular. We highly recommend him and would love to go on another safari with Emmanuel as our operator.

Super organising team from office till driver where flexibility is king
From the start Lion King Adventures was very cooperative and reactive to present us the 6 day private safari.
The choice of the hotels was just fine; Meru hotel in Arusha was our favourite to start with as a great personal service from the 2 sisters in a beautiful heritage house with pool. From there on our driver Freddy Elias was driving us around for the next 5 days. He was just fantastic and we noticed that he had a lot of experience besides that he was a responsable driver.
Twice we stayed at The Retreat and there Judith and her team took great care of us by serving us drinks and great food around the beautiful swimming pool surrounded by a beautiful garden. In the evening the fireplace in the room was on and a hot water bottle was in our bed…what a service.
The Ngorongoro Crater Lodge was the summum for the unforgettable view and the Nyota campsite who belongs to Lion King was the most natural experience with great food in a beautiful setting for 2 nights. Laurence, Duma and the whole team were serving us like kings and queens. Although the new campsite wasn’t fully finished around the pool it will remain in our memories as a very beautiful place in the wilderness.
We saw the big 5 where the rhino was way to far but lots of animals that where so close to the great Toyota Landcruiser without any danger. The leopard was the biggest surprise as only at 3 m from us eye to eye while entering the road to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
We let friendly Freddy go back to his family en we went on kiting in Zanzibar in a lovely boutiue hotel Dhow Inn in Paje.

Excellent experience!
We did 2 nights, safari + Masai village. The experience was very nice, the availability of Lenard and all colleagues was consistent throughout the experience. The safari was very nice, Isaac and the driver Ladi made the experience even better. They worked hard to look for the lion, which unfortunately we did not see, but we saw all the animals in the park. The mikumi camp bastian is very welcoming, we slept in some typical structures, the food and the location was very nice. Recommended experience.

The tour operator was an excellent guide, with a wealth of knowledge.
We had a range of ages in our group, from 87 - 15, so many different interests
Our guide was patient and kind and quickly realized that we were all seasoned wildlife travelers.
He drove until asked to stop for something specific, doing a route that offered the possibility of lions and leopards.
We had 3 wonderful lion sightings.
We were thrilled with every stage of our safari and can highly recommend Elephant Herd Tours and Safaris

Mandela was our first guide for Tangerine National Park and was a super informative and easy-going guy!
The next day we met Lewis and Damian for Serengetti and Ngorongoro Park and were also briefed by them on exciting and informative information about the wildlife and their humour was also very funny!
We were very lucky to see almost all the animals except the rhino!
The lodges we stayed in were breathtaking! The food was varied and delicious, many thanks to Tito!

Incredibly amazing safari experience
From the beginning David and his crew were extremely available, immediately answering any questions about the safari tour I wanted to put together. Then we began our tour in Nairobi with Cyrus and I have to say we struck gold. What a wonderful, wise, knowledgeable guy. Not only did he go beyond all expectations with his driving and scouting of the animals but he was also an incredible source of information regarding interesting and fun facts about fauna and flora. He absolutely made our holiday. We feel so lucky to have met him and we totally recommend the company he works for. We could not have asked for a better experience. Also worth mentioning is the complimentary safari hats and the unlimited bottled water supply which was vital for me.

Professional and understanding
It is our first time in Rwanda and my wife and I booked a 3-day tour with 1000 Hills Safari. They are really professional and comprehensive. They always put us in cauzi hotels during the trip. The guide/driver was really professional and knew in advance how to manage the timing so that you can see all the things you want without being exhausted. Summary: I highly recommend 1000 Hills Safari if you want to organise a trip in Rwanda.
