Wow! I must have said that a million times in 4 days! I honestly couldn't have dreamed that this experience would be as incredible as it was, its been a month and I'm getting emotional writing about it! We expected a lot of driving and occasional, if we were lucky, sightings but our expectations were exceeded in every way. We saw so much more than we expected, on so many more occasions and, on occasion, at such a distance that we were awestruck. There is a lot of driving and bumping around but the constant anticipation of what you are surrounded by makes it so exciting. We were particularly impressed and how well-managed tourism is, with strict rules to protect the animals and very respectful drivers and guides.

The Serengeti was wonderful beyond belief! We spent 3 days there and saw unimaginably large herds of wildebeats, zebras and antelope along with 54 lions, 4 lepards, a cheetah family and large quantities of elephants, hippos and giraffes. It is a vast park so be prepared to drive long distances but it is so worth it! We found animals all over the park and the scenery was breathtaking - vast, "endless" (as the name in Swahili means) plains of grass with low mountains and hills scattered about. Most of the animals here are so secure about their safety and used to safari jeeps that they don't bother to even move away when you pull up to observe them from mere yards away, particularly lions! Our accommodations all 3 nights were at the Nimali Central Serengeti and we had a great stay there. The staff was as friendly and helpful as could be (Carly, Ali, Peter and Emma). The facility was less than 2 months old when we arrived and although there was still some minor construction
Read more going on around the pool and site but everything was open to us and we enjoyed all the facilities. Our room was beautiful and we had magnificent views from our deck where we enjoyed relaxing with an adult beverage at night watching the sun go down.

Amazing park. This is all QA the location everyone imagines when you think of a safari. Don't miss the western Serengeti if it's during the migration. Amazing!!!

This park is so big! and yet we found animals and birds everywhere. There was also diverse land. Hills, forest and parkland. Crocodiles and hippos in the rivers, Elands, Ostriches, zebras, giraffes, etc on the plains. Waterbucks, gazelles, hornbills in the foothills. Elephants and cats everywhere. The sheer numbers of animals was awesome.
