Seychelles can be visited at any time. May to September is a lovely part of the year as it is the driest and coolest time to visit. Hikers will particularly enjoy this time. This is however when the southeast trade winds blow and the sea might be a bit choppy. The best sea conditions for diving and snorkeling are from March to May and from September to November.

Best Time March, April, October and November (It is less windy, not too busy)
High Season December to February (It is busier and rates are high)
Low Season May to September (Less busy and lower rates might apply)
Best Weather May to September (Lovely weather)
Worst Weather December to February (Hot and high rainfall)

May to September Dry Season

  • Lovely weather with lots of sunshine
  • Less hot and humid than in the Wet season
  • Sooty terns nest on Bird Island
  • The sea can be rough; snorkeling and diving conditions are less ideal

October to April Wet Season

  • Best time for bird watching as migrants are present
  • Visibility is best for snorkeling and diving
  • It is very hot and humid
  • December to February can be very wet
