Singita Sabi Sand is one of the private reserves located in the greater Sabi Sand Game Reserve. It shares open borders with the world-famous Kruger National Park and offers a true wilderness experience. The reserve has a reputation for fantastic wildlife viewing, and all of the Big Five are easily spotted (including leopards).

Singita Sabi Sand is part of the Singita group, which has some of the most beautiful lodges in Africa. This does come at a price, and this is one of the more expensive places in Sabi Sands. There are three different luxury lodges. Singita Sabi Sand is one of the bigger properties in Sabi Sands offering limited traversing rights, keeping it less crowded at sightings.

Wildlife

The wildlife viewing is excellent at Singita Sabi Sand. All high-profile safari animals are present. Sightings of all of the Big Five are relatively easy. This includes the notoriously secretive leopard, which is highly habituated in the area. Cheetah, zebra, giraffe and many species of antelope all roam around the vast area as well. Night drives are great to see some more unusual animals, such as honey badger and porcupine.

Scenery

The beautiful Sand River is a magnet for animals coming to drink. The vegetation across Singita Sabi Sand’s woodland savannah tends to be thick, but it seldom interferes with wildlife-viewing activities. The skilled rangers are great in tracking wildlife, and they are allowed to drive off-road.

Both Exeter and Singita were excellent in their own areas of expertise. Exeter puts extra focus on the game drives and is much more aggressive in tracking down animals so if your main goal is to get in touch with animals, I'd recommend...
