Tarangire was a äbsolutely amazing, it was the first safari spot we went to. Ngorongoro and Serengeti were so amazing that I wanted to rate Tarangire fairly with 4*.

Being close to Arusha offers a great start for safaris and the African experience.

My favorite park - Tarangire is gorgeous, full of animals to see with minimum driving. Artificial ponds have been created to support the population of animals. This park has lots of Baobab trees, which the elephants love. So there is a high concentration of elephants in the park. We couldn't get tired of watching the babies and moms in the river. We also got tremendous photos of a cheetah, ostrich, zebras, gazelles. The Tarangire Safari Lodge provided very comfortable tents for us, as well as a gorgeous stone lodge holding a comfortable lounge area, restaurant, bar and outdoor patio overlooking a tremendous view. Food was buffet style and quite good at all meals.

You want to see elephants, visit Tarangire. And oh yes, zebras giraffes, Impala, baboons and whatever. They are all in a tight package in this national parj.

We started our safari here, it’s a great park to start in, you see elephants giraffes and zebra as well as lions in relative close proximity. It’s less open like Serengeti or ngorogoro so it does feel more like a park than ‘nature’ if you understand what I mean but that doesn’t take away from its beauty.
