My wife and me saw many elephants and could observe their family life with their babies. We liked to see a lot of other animals there and many beatiful baobabs.

One finds amazing fauna and flora on a magnificient lanscape. Some of my best wildlife and landscape photos were taken in Tarangire.

We saw lions, leopards, water buffalo, elephants and zebra within 10 meters of our windows at Tarangire. We saw more birds and other wildlife up close and bigger variety at Tarangire in October and November in two consecutive years than the Masai Mara or Ngorongoro Crater. Make sure you check the wildlife migration patterns before you go to any national park to make sure you are booking the right season. We saw lions stalking kudu and other tourists we spoke with saw lions kill zebras. We saw loots of abay elephants up close.

I know that I did visit but cannot rember anything with real clarity or detail. This probably reflects the fact that it was the last stop on a long and exhausting itinerary with me as the only driver on a 2,000 mile trip.

We would have loved to spend more time in Tarangire. We encountered fewer vehicles and had great opportunities to watch elephants and meerkats for an extended time without much disturbance.

The excellent park to be there.
Tarangire national park is a very nice and beautiful park, if you are in Tanzania, don't miss to be there.
