The Marangu Route, famously known as the Coca-Cola Route, is one of the most well established and popular ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the only route that offers hut accommodation, providing trekkers with more comfort compared to camping routes. Starting from the southeastern side of the mountain, the trail passes through a variety of striking landscapes, including lush rainforest, moorland, and alpine desert.
