The 5-day Marangu route on Kilimanjaro is a fast, but challenging trek with a low success rate for reaching the summit due to insufficient acclimatization. The itinerary involves hiking from Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut, then to Horombo Hut, Kibo Hut (base camp), a midnight ascent to the summit, a descent back to Horombo for the night, and finally exiting the park on the fifth day. It's known for being the "Coca-Cola" route, offering huts for shelter instead of camping.
