A Kwale Island day visit from Zanzibar, widely known as the Safari Blue excursion, takes about 8 to 9 hours. Trips start with a hotel pickup to Fumba Village in southwest Zanzibar. From there, you board a traditional wooden dhow to sail, snorkel, and spot dolphins in the Menai Bay Conservation Area before heading to Kwale Island for a grilled seafood lunch.
