The Marangu Route, known as the “Coca-Cola” route, is the easiest and most direct path to the summit. It’s the only route with hut accommodations at each campsite, offering solar lighting and basic beds. Simple toilet facilities are available at the final camp. Usually completed in 5 days, it can be extended to 6 for better acclimatization, with an extra rest day at Horombo or a hike toward Mawenzi.
