Tarangire NP is the sixth largest park in the country, occupies an area of 2,600 sq. kms, the animals come by thousands from as far north as the shores of Lake Natron to the bank of this river, it is said to have the highest recorded number of breeding bird species for any habitat in the world, over 500 bird species have been identified. Materuni Waterfall is an another opportunity to see how local fruit like avocados, mangos, lemons, and bananas grow, as well as learn some of the local history.
