Formerly part of the renowned Selous Game Reserve, the park is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, African wild dogs, crocodiles, and hippopotamuses. The majestic Rufiji River flows through the park, supporting a rich variety of bird species and creating one of Tanzania's most spectacular ecosystems.
