The 7-day Machame Route is one of the most scenic ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, taking trekkers through several distinct ecological zones on the journey toward Uhuru Peak. Starting in the lush rainforest, the trail rises through moorland and alpine desert before reaching the high-altitude summit zone. The itinerary includes an important acclimatization day around Lava Tower and Barranco, followed by the summit attempt from Barafu Camp.
