You will travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend the crater rim, the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, for game drive activities, including viewing the rare black rhino. The crater features a river, swamps, and a soda lake that, viewed from above, resembles steam and is populated by flamingos; there are also forests and open plains. The large bull elephants have exceptionally large tusks, which can be attributed to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and grasses.
