Masai Mara National Reserve is known for its great migration and exceptional population of leopards, lions, cheetahs, and Thompson gazelles among others. Lake Nakuru National Park is a bird sanctuary with both the lesser and the greater flamingos, whose populations cover the entire lake. Amboseli National Park is known for its unique vegetation and huge elephants. Tsavo East and West are famous for man-eating lions and they are divided by the Tsavo River which flows through the national park.
