Southern Tanzania Parks present a wide range of experiences, from savannah to wetlands, This Eight-day itinerary for the southern circuit comprises parks and reserves, Mikumi, a small park, is located to the west along the roadway that meanders down to Iringa and Mbeya. Both river excursions on the Rufiji River and walking safaris are excellent in the Nyerere Game Reserve, which is south of Mikumi. While Ruaha National Park, located just west of Iringa, is the crown jewel of the southern circuit.
