Known as the “Coca-Cola” route, Marangu is the oldest and most established path on Kilimanjaro. It’s considered the easiest due to its gradual slope and offers dormitory-style huts. The route takes at least five days, with six recommended for better acclimatization. Though popular, it’s less scenic since ascent and descent follow the same path and is most crowded, making it best suited for climbs during the rainy season.
